The new 2023 Hyundai Palisade is stepping up to offer as many safety and luxury features as the company can pack into its successful three-row, eight-passenger, SUV. The 2023 Palisade should be available at dealers this summer, Hyundai said.

The company has finally released many of the specs and details of the 2023 Palisade, along with its corporate cousin the Kia Telluride at the New York Auto Show. While the folks at Kia made a big deal of the new off-road packages, the X-Line and X-Pro, Hyundai is showing off the practical side of the new Palisade with new convenience, luxury, and safety features that put if firmly in the same eight-passenger luxury SUV category as a Yukon Denali.

The 2023 Hyundai Palisade has been refreshed. The Palisade’s new design brief seems to have been, “add all the technology you can, but don’t screw up all the good stuff.” The Palisade is one of the hottest-selling SUVs on the market, and a sales leader for Hyundai.

The new three-row SUV has a new interior design with all-new infotainment and safety features, as well as new driver assistance systems. Sure, the exterior looks fresh, too, with new turbine-look wheels and a new grille.

But the news is in the tech and the luxury. The Calligraphy package has, for example, Napa leather, and swing-out head rests, and looks like it can take on the Yukon Denali with its luxury touches.

The driver’s seat can be ordered with a massage feature. Even third-row passengers can get heated seats. To get to those rear seats, the middle row can be ordered with a power button to move them out of the way easily.

All Palisades now come with a 12.3-inch navigation screen standard.

The Palisade now has a standard 12.3-inch navigation screen and many of the features that you’d expect in the segment. The Palisade can be ordered with a wi-fi hotspot, power third-row seats that fold flat, USB-C chargers, and new monitors that will alert you if there’s movement in the back of the SUV.

The new Palisade also has a digital key that lets an owner use their phone, or even smart watch, and leave the actual key at home.

The Palisade also offers a hands-free lift gate, power seats, voice recognition technology, remote start, and much more.

Driver assistance aids include: Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Assist, Driver Attention Warning, High Beam Assist, Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control, Lane Following Assist, Highway Driving Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist and Remote Smart Parking Assist.

The new Palisade has not been tested yet, but Hyundais are often top safety picks.

Sorry, kids. The new Palisade can keep tabs on you and send alerts to your parents if you’re driving too fast, too far, or even too late with the “curfew” mode. Hyundai is updating its Bluelink connection system that allows owners to control several functions of the SUV with a smart phone.

Bluelink allows you to store driver preferences, such as seat heating, ventilation preferences, and more in your phone. Hyundai says that Bluelink is free for three years on certain models.

The 2023 Palisade seems like it includes a lot of the options from the Carnival, but tailors them for SUV duty.
