2023 Infiniti QX50 Gets New Trim, Higher Price
It’s a confusing time for fans of Infiniti. Every vehicle in the luxury Nissan brand lineup seems to have changed significantly over the last few years. Additionally, the automaker is headed toward complete electrification, like most others. For the 2023 model year, the QX50 crossover is changing again. This time, the 2023 Infiniti QX50 is getting a brand new trim and a higher price.
What’s new with the 2023 Infiniti QX50?
According to Car and Driver, a few small changes are coming to the 2023 Infiniti QX50. This luxury crossover will start at $41,495, up $1,320 from the previous model year. In addition, there’s an entirely new trim level called Sport. It sits in the middle of the pack, starting at $49,695. As a result, there are now five trim levels instead of four, and the lineup ranges from just over $40K to nearly the $60K mark.
Furthermore, the QX50 crossover also received a few new standard features. A frameless rearview mirror, heated exterior mirrors, remote start, rear door alert, and a wireless charging pad are now included with every version of the 2023 Infiniti QX50.
What is the new QX50 Sport trim?
The brand new 2023 Infiniti QX50 Sport trim is a midlevel model that slots in between the Luxe and Sensory models. Surprisingly, it’s already C/D’s recommended trim level for the luxury crossover. Moreover, it comes with some styling cue upgrades, like a unique front fascia, gloss-black exterior trim, and 20-inch machine-finished wheels. The machine-finished wheels replace the standard 19-inch units offered with the two cheaper trims.
Next, the Sport model starts at $49,695, but all-wheel drive costs extra. It’ll be $2,000 for AWD on any model but the Autograph trim, on which it is standard.
Experts recommend the new 2023 Infiniti QX50 Sport
Although it’s brand new, experts like Car and Driver already recommend the Sport trim over any other QX50. It has a good amount of standard equipment, like a 360-degree camera system, heated/cooled front seats, navigation, interior ambient lighting, and much more. Since it comes with all these extras and remains just under $50,000, it provides more value than trims below and above.

All 2023 Infinitis get complimentary maintenance
One of the best things about buying the new 2023 Infiniti QX50 is the complimentary maintenance. Buying one will get you three years or 36,000 miles of scheduled maintenance. Furthermore, this includes inspections, oil changes, and tire rotations. However, this deal isn’t exclusive to buyers of the new QX50 and the Sport trim. Instead, it’s available to all customers who buy any 2023 Infiniti model. That means the Q50 sedan, the QX50 and QX55 crossovers, and the QX60 and QX80 SUVs all qualify.
The 2023 Infiniti QX50 is more expensive with a new Sport trim
In conclusion, the 2023 Infiniti QX50 is getting a new trim and a higher price. While unfortunate, the price rise isn’t too bad, and the most expensive Autograph trim price rose the least. Next, the brand new Sport trim doesn’t live up to its name, as it adds no sporty performance features. However, it has enough differences and feature upgrades to make it Car and Driver’s recommended model. Best of all, every version of the QX50 has all-new standard features.
