2023 Jaguar XF availability, specs, features, and pricing guide highlights:

  • The 2023 Jaguar XF isn’t available in dealerships yet, but you can likely order one by the end of summer or the beginning of fall
  • The 2023 XF is still available only with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and eight-speed automatic in 246-hp RWD P250 S and SE as well as 296-hp AWD P300 R-Dynamic SE forms
  • Adaptive cruise control is now standard across the board, while the SE trims now have standard Amazon Alexa

Once a passenger car paragon, Jaguar has slowly whittled down its non-SUV selection over the years. But don’t worry, the British luxury brand hasn’t totally transitioned to crossovers. In addition to the F-Type sports car, Jaguar still has a sedan, the XF. And though its trim selection has gotten, um, trimmed recently, the XF is going strong into another model year. So, if you want to get into a 2023 Jaguar XF, here’s what you need to know.

When can you buy a 2023 Jaguar XF?

As of this writing, Jaguar hasn’t announced when the 2023 XF will arrive on U.S. shores. And currently, no U.S. Jaguar dealership is even offering reservation options.

In previous years, though, Jaguar typically released the upcoming XF in the early fall. The 2021 XF, for example, arrived in October 2020. So, the 2023 XF’s order books will likely open by the end of summer, with deliveries following shortly after.

But while the 2023 XF’s release date is still somewhat unknown, its specs and features details are significantly clearer.

What’s new with the 2023 Jaguar XF?

In 2021, Jaguar significantly slimmed down the XF lineup but also upgraded its interior and infotainment. Since then, it’s only made minor changes to its remaining sedan. And the 2023 Jaguar XF brings more of that subtle sharpening.

As in 2022, the 2023 XF is available in three trims: P250 S, P250 SE, and P300 R-Dynamic SE. But this year, every trim gets adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality as standard, Autotrader reports. In addition, the P250 and P300 SE now have standard Amazon Alexa.

Even though it’s the base model, the 2023 Jaguar XF P250 S is still a luxury sedan. So, it comes standard with leather upholstery, wood trim, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power trunk lid, proximity keyless entry, and auto-dimming mirrors. Furthermore, it gets a 12.3” digital gauge cluster and an 11.4” touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An 11-speaker Meridian sound system is standard, too, as is wireless charging. But if that’s not enough, Jaguar offers a Premium Lighting Package for the 2023 XF P250 S.

In addition, the 2023 Jaguar XF P250 S has other standard driver-assistance features besides adaptive cruise control. It also gets a 360° camera system, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking. Plus, front and rear parking assist. Meanwhile, the P250 SE, adds high-beam assist and traffic-sign recognition with an Adaptive Speed Limiter to that.

Speaking of adding, the 2023 Jaguar XF P250 SE has more than just Amazon Alexa. The middle 2023 XF trim has standard bright pedals, 19” wheels, and memory settings for the driver’s seat and side mirrors, too. Also, it has more optional packages. The Cold Climate Pack, for example, comes with a heated steering wheel, heated windshield, and heated wiper nozzles. Meanwhile, the Convenience Pack features extra power outlets, an electric steering column and rear sunshade, and soft-close doors. Heated rear seats are a stand-alone option, though, as is WiFi.

But if you want your Jaguar sedan to truly slink down the road, you’ll want the 2023 XF P300 R-Dynamic SE.

How fast is it?

Once upon a time, you could get the Jaguar XF with V6s and even supercharged V8s. But in 2021, the XF’s powertrain selection shrunk to a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic. That’s still the case in 2023, and the engine is just as powerful as it was in 2021. And the P300 gets the strongest version.

The extra 53 horsepower and 29 lb-ft of torque aren’t the only things that make the P300 the fastest 2023 Jaguar XF, though. While the P250 trims are RWD-only, the P300 only comes with AWD. So, if you want some winter peace of mind, the P300 might be the XF to get.

Apart from the extra performance and AWD, though, most of the P300’s upgrades over the P250 trims are cosmetic. It has some R-Dynamic blacked-out exterior trim, an R-Dynamic steering wheel, and some contrast stitching for its seats. And if you want extra luxuries, the P300 has the same options packages as the P250 SE.

But there is one optional package that isn’t just about luxury. You can equip both the 2023 Jaguar XF P250 SE and P300 with the Dynamic Handling Pack. This adds adaptive shocks, red brake calipers, and Jaguar’s Configurable Dynamics. Think of that last feature as enhanced drive-mode selection, wherein you can adjust the suspension, steering, transmission, and engine response.

So, even if you don’t get the most powerful 2023 XF, you can still have fun on sweeping roads.

How much does the 2023 Jaguar XF cost?

To match its slight increase in standard features, the 2023 Jaguar XF is only slightly more expensive than the 2022 model. Here’s how the trim pricing breaks down:

  • P250 S: $47,000
  • P250 SE: $49,300
  • P300 R-Dynamic SE: $52,700

Now, the 2023 XF isn’t the cheapest entry-level luxury sedan on sale today. For example, the P250 S is roughly $3500 more expensive than a base 2022 Mercedes C-Class. However, it’s still the cheapest new Jaguar—the 2023 E-Pace starts at $48,000—and the brand’s cheapest sedan. Yes, that last part’s a given as it’s also the only Jaguar sedan, but the 2023 XF does justify its price tag. Plus, four-door Jags have rarely not been class acts.

And if you want this cool cat in your driveway, you won’t have long to wait.
