The new 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is a revolutionary plug-in hybrid version of the Grand Cherokee as the brand’s first step toward electrification. It offers all of the go-anywhere capability, offroad performance, and legendary versatility, making it America’s best-selling SUV for nearly three decades. The SUV has an EPA-estimated 56 MPGe, 25 miles (40 km) of zero-emission freedom on electric mode, and a comfortable interior.

In addition to its “trail-rated” capability, the Grand Cherokee has been made even more capable off-road with a newly developed Quadra-Drive II 4×4 system with a two-speed transfer case and 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio to go along with an electronically limited slip differential (eLSD) and a Selec-Terrain traction management system. This combination provides Jeep Grand Cherokee with up to 35% better terrain capability than its predecessor, according to Stellantis.

This new Grand Cherokee 4×4 is available in three trim levels – Trailhawk, Limited, and Overland. In addition, all Grand Cherokee 4×4 models come with the newly designed Quadra-Drive II system and eLSD (electronically limited slip differential) on the Trailhawk, Limited, and Overland models.

Does the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe have Android Auto?

Android Auto is the new way you can use Android to control your car by using the built-in Google Maps and voice commands. This means that users can plug in their Android devices and use the computer OS on their phone to control things like their radio and navigation. It’ll also let them send text messages, make calls, or access other apps on their phone.

The only fundamental limitation for drivers is that they won’t be able to see incoming notifications from these apps unless they’re plugged in, so it’s a good thing that it can charge your device while you drive! If you want an easier way to navigate Android while driving, this Jeep is worth more than a look! Yes, the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe has standard wireless Android Auto.

Infotainment, connectivity, and technology features

For drivers who taste the personal, infotainment is more personal than ever with the new Jeep Grand Cherokee. With the trio of dazzling screens, it’s best to let go of your old-style driving habits and embrace this multimedia revolution. In particular, drivers will find all of their infotainment in one front and center screen. At the same time, they keep their eyes on the road — whether they are reading a book, watching Netflix from their 10.1-inch touchscreen display, or taking in an episode from their 10.25-inch digital screen option. A 10-inch head-up display projects pertinent information on the windshield, like upcoming turns, speed, or any issues with the vehicle.

In addition to this digital entertainment, passengers will also have their screen to call their own, located directly in front of the passenger seat. Letting those in the front seat control their sound and navigation experiences has never been easier.

Digital rearview mirror

With the digital rearview mirror, drivers can lean into their rearview mirrors to see what’s behind them at all times. In addition, this comprehensive rearview camera is excellent for finding familiar road signs without looking in the rearview mirror.

Eyes in the back

And never underestimate the importance of the infotainment cabin. The rear-seat camera display makes it much easier to ensure everyone is where they are supposed to be. With the new responsiveness of the Uconnect systems, drivers can get out of harm’s way in just a matter of seconds. Were they getting a text or an alert? Just press the single button in the center console and set the vehicle to manual driving mode; it will move forward but keep the throttle pedal depressed.

Sound system

The UconnectRX Infotainment System features McIntosh high-definition audio, which has a 19-speaker preamp in the dash and offers a full complement of internal amplifiers. Multi-source secondary amplifiers add versatility, and options are plentiful in the new smaller-diameter UConnect Touch Screen display. In addition, with the new Dual-Zone UConnect system, the driver gets one-touch access to the navigation system and the feature-rich UConnect entertainment.
