The Jeep Grand Cherokee’s price is high compared to other SUVs in its vehicle segment. The current best midsize SUV, the Kia Telluride, starts at just $33,390. So, the Grand Cherokee isn’t the best midsize SUV for the money, but that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t provide value.

The Grand Cherokee is easily one of the best off-road SUVs on the market. It has 8.6 inches of standard ground clearance, so it’s a natural off-roader. The Trailhawk trim has a whopping 10.8 inches of max ground clearance.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee uses a 3.6-liter V6 engine to make 293 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The midsize SUV achieves 19 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the highway. The Jeep Grand Cherokee has a 6,200-pound towing capacity. It can carry a 1,283-pound payload.

The new Grand Cherokee comes standard with remote keyless entry, two 12-volt DC power outlets, and leatherette steering wheel material. It also includes distance pacing cruise control with traffic stop-go, illuminated front beverage holders, and voice-activated air conditioning. Not bad for a base model.

According to Car and Driver, The Grand Cherokee Limited is the best 2022 trim. Will the same be true for the 2023 model year? The automotive publication recommends the Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited because of standard heated front and rear seats, remote start, ambient lighting, leather upholstery, and many other great features.

The 2023 Jeep grand Cherokee Limited starts at $46,215. Since Jeep is no longer offering a Trailhawk trim for the Grand Cherokee, the Limited very well may be the best trim for the money. If you’ve got a taste adventure, then few midsize SUVs are better than the capable Grand Cherokee. Still, Jeep’s midsize SUV can’t compare to the best in its class, the Kia Telluride.
