How much power does the 2023 Kia EV6 GT have?

In terms of power, the EV6 GT is pretty impressive. Thanks to dual electric motors, it will make 577 hp and 546 lb-ft of torque. This gives Kia’s performance SUV a 0 to 60 mph time of 3.2 seconds. And Kia has stated that it will have a top speed of 161 mph.

In order to get the full performance experience, the EV6 GT has a rear axle that features a torque-biasing differential. If you want to enjoy the full 577 hp that this EV has to offer, you will need to be in GT mode. The other drive modes restrict power output in order to preserve range. 

The 2023 Kia EV6 GT even has adaptive dampers. And that is a true mark of a performance vehicle.  

How expensive is the 2023 EV6 GT?

In terms of cost, this version of Kia’s EV will be more expensive than other models. If Kia can keep this vehicle under $70,000, that will be fairly impressive. And it would make it much cheaper than other vehicles like the Porsche Taycan 4S.

While it is probably unfair to compare a Kia to a Porsche, the EV6 GT has legitimate power. And, it can actually be quicker than its luxury rivals. So, if you want a performance vehicle and are not hung up on brand recognition, this SUV might be one to consider. 

The 2023 Kia EV6 GT has not hit the streets yet. And once it goes on sale, it will probably be in limited numbers. The introduction of this model shows that Kia is serious about its EV lineup. 

Will this performance SUV be worth buying?

The Kia EV6 GT will be a worthy contender for folks who have the budget and want power from their vehicle. It will have a range of about 240 miles, and it has a number of changes compared to the regular EV6. At the same time, the EV6 GT does not look too aggressive. In some ways, it can be seen as a sleeper.

There are some things that hint at the power offered by this SUV. For instance, it does have painted brake calipers and changes to the body styling. But the inside is where things really stand apart. 

There are green highlights throughout, and the seats are more sporty. That way, when you take a tight corner, you can do so with confidence. The EV6 GT will have a 12.0-inch touchscreen, and according to Car and Driver, it also delivers on Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
