The Kia Sportage keeps rocking incredible upgrades, and we’re here for the show. A few of the 2023 Kia Sportage trims are actually cheaper than before, plus there are brand new off-roading trims to consider. The Sportage is seriously amping up! 

How much does the 2023 Kia Sportage cost? 

You can get started in a 2023 Kia Sportage for about $27,205. This is a bit more than the 2022 model, which begins at around $24,090. But certain trim levels are now more affordable.

For example, the EX FWD model is now $29,205 instead of $29,605. The EX AWD model is now $31,005 instead of $31,105. Rivals had much larger price increases without the significant upgrades that the Sportage gained. 

Along with a more attractive look, the 2023 Sportage gained a new platform. It rides on the new N3 Platform like the Kia Sorento. This helped the Sportage gain more passenger and cargo space. 

Plus, it provides more strength and torsional stiffness to the chassis. According to MotorTrend, it also includes new sound-absorbing and insulation to reduce noise, vibration, and harshness from the wind, road, and engine. 

Can the 2023  Sportage go off-roading? 

Maybe. The 2023 Kia Sportage gained three new trims, including the X-Line, X-Pro, and Prestige models. The Sportage X-Line costs about $32,005 and is only available with all-wheel drive. 

It provides a sporty and rugged look with unique front and rear bumpers. A satin chrome surround with a side garnish enhances the look, along with gloss black finished side mirrors. The roof rack and window surrounds complete the package, and it rides on 19-inch wheels. 

The Kia Sportage X-Pro costs $36,205 and is also only available with AWD. It’s more off-road focused with 17-inch matte black wheels wrapped in 17-inch BF Goodrich all-terrain tires. The roof has an attractive two-tone color treatment. 

The windshield and water nozzles are heated to remove frost and ice. The off-roading modes include Normal, Sport, Smart, and Snow modes. 

Last but not least, the Sportage Prestige version of the X-pro and X-line trims add upscale luxury features like ventilated front seats, LED fog lights, optional LED Projector headlights, and an eight-way power front passenger seat. The PRestige upgrades cost about $2,000. 

What comes standard with the 2023 Sportage? 

The 2023 Kia Sportage comes standard with dual panoramic curved displays that are seamlessly connected with about 25 inches of digital viewing. It also has a 360-degree surround-view monitor with 3D View and live feed blind-spot monitoring in the instrument cluster. 

Higher trim levels have forward collision-avoidance assist with junction turning capability and reverse parking collision avoidance assist. 

Currently, the 2.5-liter engine with 187 hp is the only gas-powered engine available, but more options are on the way. There will be Sportage hybrid and PHEV models on the way soon. The hybrid model pumps out 226 hp, and the PHEV is expected to have an all-electric range of 32 miles. 

The new Kia Sorento provides stellar upgrades, and it’s not done yet. The 2023 models are only scratching the surface. We can’t wait to see what new models and features emerge soon.
