The entry-level 2023 Kia Stinger packs a powerful punch with plenty of standard features to warrant its affordable price. There are three available trim levels, with the exclusive 2023 Kia Stinger Scorpion Special Edition offering all the bells and whistles to keep drivers and passengers happy.
While the Stinger Scorpion package is impressive, it does not offer much more performance than the GT2 trim, leaving many consumers wondering if it is worth paying $53,000 for the upgrade.

The 2023 Kia Stinger has a three-grade lineup that includes the GT-Line, GT1, and GT2. All models are rear-wheel drive (RWD) with the option of upgrading to all-wheel drive (AWD) for an additional $2,200. The 2023 Kia Stinger GT1 has a base starting price of $45,555, which includes the destination fee. A 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 engine generates a blistering 368 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. The GT1 can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds and has an estimated EPA combined mileage rating of 20 mpg. Standard features include a power sunroof, interior multi-colored accent lighting, and front passenger 8-way power-adjustable seating.
The top-of-the-line 2023 Kia Stinger GT2 has the same engine setup as the GT1, with an MSRP of $53,155. The add-on Scorpion Package costs $1,295 and includes black fender trim, 19-inch alloy wheels, and dark exhaust tips. The color options of snow white pearl, ceramic silver, and aurora black give the car a darker hue.
The appearance package was introduced in the 2022 model year and is based on the GT2 trim that includes the above-listed standard features. Though the Scorpion Package does not offer much better performance, if you are all in on the GT2, the extra thousand bucks more might not be a big deal.
