Doesn’t it feel like the Kia Telluride just came out? It debuted in the spring of 2019 as a 2020 model. So it’s only been on the road for about two years, but things are moving fast. The 2023 Kia Telluride is already getting a brand new look.

What’s new for the 2023 Kia Telluride?

Not much information about the 2023 Kia Telluride has been revealed, but we may learn more soon. According to MotorAuthority, spy shots have started to emerge. Despite the Telluride being heavily covered in camouflage, we can gather a few clues.

The updated Telluride features updated LED headlights with vertical accents. They could be thinner than before. The headlights run down the sides of the new grille with a unique mesh pattern.

It looks like the front bumper could have a new shape too. It might have stacked fog lights that match the look of the redesigned Kia Sportage. That would create quite the futuristic look compared to the Telluride’s current clean design.

The rear end features new looks, too, with updated taillights and a new rear bumper that includes vertical reflectors. We’re interested in the revised exhaust system. Could the Telluride sound better or have more power?

Will the 2023 Telluride have more power?

Things have been quiet about the 2023 Kia Telluride’s powertrain. The current Kia Telluride is powered by a 3.8-liter V6 engine with 291 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 7.5 seconds. This is average compared to the Honda Pilot.

When properly equipped, the Kia Telluride can tow up to 5,000 lbs and carry a payload of up to 1,664 lbs. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive is optional.

There aren’t any rumors floating around about new engine options yet. However, we would like to see a hybrid or an all-electric option soon. The Telluride gets an EPA-estimated 20 mpg in the city and up to 26 mpg on the highway, which is alright.

On an exciting note, the new Telluride could be better equipped to go off-roading. Kia filed patents for the ‘Sorento X-Pro,’ “Telluride X-Pro,’ and ‘Telluride X-Line.’ Based on the Sportage X-Pro, this means the Telluride could be ready for adventuring.

The X-Pro Telluride could gain a suspension lift, beefy all-terrain tires, additional driving modes for off-roading, and rugged cladding.

The 2023 Kia Telluride is expected to have a few interior updates. The layout might be tweaked a little to provide a fresh modern design. It’s already crafted with high-quality luxury materials like Nappa leather upholstery.

We don’t expect that standard 10.3-inch infotianment system to change. There’s also already an optional head-up display and wireless phone charger. You can also opt for the digital gauge cluster. Perhaps wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will become available.

The 2022 Telluride starts at about $33,090. The 2023 model will probably have a slight increase because of all the updated goodies that are on the way. We will keep you updated as we learn more.
