If you’ve been wanting a brand new Kia Telluride, then we don’t exactly have good news. While the 2023 model gained significant updates to be a better SUV, it also went up in price. We know that everything is getting more expensive, but the 2023 Kia Telluride got shockingly more expensive. 

How much does the 2023 Kia Telluride cost?

The 2023 Kia Telluride price starts at $37,025. This price represents a $2,300 increase over the outgoing model. Plus, according to MotorTrend, it costs $2,000 to add all-wheel drive. Typically it costs about $1,500 to add AWD to an SUV. 

The Telluride S has a $1,700 increase and starts at $38,295. Also, the mid-level Telluride EX trim increased by $2,900 and begins at $42,625. The SX MSRP rises by $2,200 to $46,825. You can add the X-Line package to the EX model for $4,195. 

Adding the X-Line Package to the SX model costs $3,395, and the X-Pro Package is $4,395. Both options include AWD. 

For the first time, the Telluride crests $50,000, as the SX Prestige model now costs $51,725. The SX Prestige X-Line costs $53,120, and the SX Prestige X-Pro takes things up to $54,120. Also, the destination charge is $1,335. 

What’s new for the 2023 Telluride? 

The 2023 Kia Telluride got a new look to provide a more confident and unique design. The headlights have a new vertical design, and the grille’s shape was revised. Plus, the front bumper looks a little more rugged, and there are new wheel designs. 

Off-roaders can opt for the new X-Line package includes a 0.4-inch lift, an enhanced Tow Mode, upgraded roof rails, a unique grille design, and 20-inch trim-specific wheels with a beefier style. 

You get a little more girt for adventuring with the Kia Telluride X-Pro. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires. The extra sidewall should protect the vehicle from bumps and impacts. 

It also has a specially tuned off-road driving mode and a little more muscle. It can tow up to 5,500 lbs, while other odes max out at 5,000 lbs. 

The outgoing model already has all-wheel drive lock, a Snow Mode, Hill Start Assist, and Hill Descent Control, so we can’t wait to see how the new model builds upon its capabilities. 

The interior features a new all-digital instrument panel with dual 12.3-inch screens. The Wi-fi hotspot and built-in navigation system are standard across the lineup. 

Is the 2023 Telluride worth buying?

Yes, the 2023 Kia Telluride is worth buying. The extra cost includes more value. The Telluride is a popular option because it includes plenty of value, such as advanced tech, plenty of safety features, and unmatched comfort. 

It’s still powered by the same 3.8-liter V6 engine with 291 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 6.9 seconds. The Telluride provides a smooth ride and a relaxing, quiet interior. 

The price increase seems to cover its fresh look, upgraded tech, and enhanced off-roading capabilities. We can’t wait to see how the 2023 model holds up against the less expensive 2022 option.
