2023 Lexus UX 250h
The smallest crossover in the Lexus SUV lineup is the updated UX 250h, which will only be available in a gas-electric hybrid variant. MotorTrend claims it is a reach to call the UX an SUV, saying, “it’s solidly a car-based crossover that sits barely higher than your average small hatchback.”
Lexus boasts a best-in-class 17.1-foot turning radius, a class-leading safety system, and an estimated combined fuel economy of 42 mpg. CNET claims the “most important upgrade to the 2023 Lexus UX is its infotainment system,” which features an updated interface telematics system with an optional 12.3-inch display that is dual-Bluetooth, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay compatible.
The Lexus UX hybrid has an MSRP of $35,925 for the base model.
2023 Lexus NX
The 2023 Lexus NX is a reliable, compact crossover featuring a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged engine that can go from 0 to 60 mph in 8.2 seconds. The starting price of the 2023 Lexus NX is $39,500, and the hybrid version of the NX has an MSRP of $42,700.
The NX 450h+ is the brand’s first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) with a starting price of $57,300. According to Lexus, its new platform offers a lower center of gravity that provides more dynamic handling with 304 hp and a fuel economy rating of 84 MPGe.
Kelley Blue Book claims “the NX is an appealing alternative” to the Lexus RX luxury SUV since it is “smaller and more affordable.” They report, “It delivers sharp styling, advanced standard tech features, and an elegant cabin, all with the versatility of an SUV.”
2023 Lexus RX 350
The 2023 Lexus RX 350 is the best-selling model in the brand’s SUV lineup and can seat five to seven passengers with three-row seating. The versatile midsize crossover has an MSRP of $47,070 for the FWD model and $48,470 for the AWD model.
Key features of the fully redesigned Lexus RX include a 295-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine, a class-leading safety system, and Apple CarPlay integration.
The Lexus RX 350h hybrid variant has an MSRP of $49,870, offering a 308 total system horsepower with a combined 30 MPG estimate.
Car and Driver claim Lexus did not stray far from its popular formula, saying, “the 2023 RX should meet the expectations of returning Lexus customers who value calm comfort over potent performance.”
2023 Lexus GX 460
The 2023 Lexus GX 460 has a starting price of $57,575. Built on the Toyota 4Runner platform, the full-size, body-on-frame SUV takes us out of Lexus crossover territory into tough and traditional. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.6-liter V8 engine that churns 301 hp. Plus, it’s an off-road sleeper with surprising capability at the core of of its premium design.
With seating for up to seven passengers, the GX offers optional second-row captain’s chairs for exceptional interior cabin comfort. A 10.3-inch high-resolution touchscreen multimedia display with navigation features and Apple CarPlay integration add to the luxury appeal of the GX model.
Edmunds refers to the 2023 Lexus GX 460 as “positively ancient,” saying it may be beneficial to wait for the more modern successor to the GX, rumored to be based on new Toyota architecture.
2023 Lexus LX
The top-of-the-line 2023 Lexus LX 600 is a full-size off-roading SUV that has a staggering MSRP of $88,245.
CarsDirect claims, “there aren’t a ton of competitors out there that fully compare with the Lexus LX in both luxury and off-road prowess.”
