2023 Mazda CX-50 specs and pricing
The compact CX-50 SUV will come with a 187-hp. 2.5-liter, four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine or a turbocharged version that increases its 256 hp when using premium fuel. Mazda USA explains that all trims will come with a six-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive drivetrain.
We expect the automaker to release a hybrid option later, which will borrow a drivetrain from Toyota. Car and Driver expects the drivetrain to be sourced from the RAV4 Hybrid.
Additionally, the vehicle will offer athletic handling like the Mazda3. It is similar in size to the CX-5 but has more rugged styling. This will differ from the usual upscale, refined designs standard in the Mazda lineup. The Mazda CX-50’s starting MSRP is $27,550 for the S trim and $28,950 for the S Select. Its top trim, the Turbo Premium Plus, goes for $42,300.

As for sound, the standard configuration will be an eight-speaker stereo. However, the Premium and Premium Plus models will come with a 12-speaker Bose stereo and will be loaded with SiriusXM satellite radio. There will be a wireless phone charger pad in the Turbo Premium Plus trim. Other features that will be available with the model include Bluetooth and in-cabin Wi-Fi. New car owners get a complimentary package of up to 2 GB of Wi-Fi data.
