When is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class coming out?

How much does the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class cost? 

The starting price of the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class luxury SUV is $53,900 MSRP. However, the full cost information is not yet available for the full 2023 GLC trim lineup. In comparison, the starting price of the 2022 GLC ranges from $43,850 MSRP for the GLC300 trim up to $66,500 MSRP for the AMG GLC43 Coupe 4MATIC trim. 

2023 GLC-Class specs: Engine output and 0-60 mph acceleration

For the initial release in the U.S., the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class will offer just one engine option: a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a 48-volt hybrid system GLC300. However, more powerful AMG 53 and 63 variants will likely follow. Also, Mercedes-Benz confirmed that it will eventually sell a plug-in hybrid version of the GLC in the U.S.

Mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission, the turbo 2.0L engine generates 258 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Buyers of the GLC can choose a standard rear-wheel drive or an optional all-wheel drive system. Also, for acceleration, the GLC has a 0-60 mph time of 6.2 seconds. 

The estimated fuel economy of the 2023 GLC is not available. However, the luxury SUV will likely have similar gas mileage as the 2022 GLC (up to 22 city/27 highway mpg).

Redesigned 2023 GLC-Class: Exterior and interior design and features

For the exterior styling of the redesigned 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class, the changes are subtle. Design changes include a new shape for headlights, narrower taillights, and a single horizontal strip on the grille (instead of two for the 2022 GLC). Also, the 2023 GLC is larger than the outgoing model, with a length that is 2.4 inches longer and a 0.6-inch wider wheelbase.

Compared to the exterior, the interior changes are more significant. The 2023 GLC features the new MBUX infotainment system. It has two displays: an 11.9-inch central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, as well as an optional augmented-reality navigation system. Also, the GLC has a new steering wheel with touch-sensitive control buttons. Plus, the GLC has an ambient lighting feature with a choice of 64 different colors.

Additionally, the increased size of the 2023 GLC results in more cargo space. It has a luggage capacity of 21.9 cu-ft, which is 2.5 cu-ft more than the 2022 GLC.

For warranty coverage, the 2023 GLC has the backing of a 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty and a 4-year/50,000-mile powertrain warranty.
