Mercedes-Benz is a German luxury automaker known for its high-performance models, including SUVs. Like its sports cars, Mercedes-Benz luxury SUVs are high-quality and packed with features. So expect high prices to match. Here’s a look at all the 2023 Mercedes-Benz SUVs.

Mercedes-Benz GLA

The GLA is the most affordable among Mercedes-Benz SUVs. It’s competing in the subcompact luxury crossover segment, with a starting price tag of about $36,500.

Though the GLA is a small SUV, Mercedes-Benz gave it some powerful engines. It starts with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that gets 221 hp. The German automaker also offers more powerful versions of that engine, including one that makes 382 hp.

Mercedes-Benz  GLB

The GLB is in the compact luxury crossover segment, with a starting price of about $38,500. Its powertrain is reasonably similar to the GLA’s, as the GLB starts with the same 2.0-liter engine and shares a mid-tier engine with the GLA. That said, the GLA’s optional engine that gets 382 hp is not an available option on the GLB. However, it’s a more practical SUV, thanks to an optional third row of seats.

Mercedes-Benz GLC

Like the GLB, the GLC competes in the compact luxury crossover segment. However, the GLC has a starting price of about $44,000 and is very different from the GLB. It comes in only a two-seat configuration, and Mercedes-Benz gave the GLC many more luxury features and powerful engines. 

It packs a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder producing 255 hp, and folks can upgrade to a 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 harnessing 503 hp. Thanks to its excellent combination of features and relatively affordable price, the GLC is a popular option for Mercedes customers.

Mercedes EQB

The EQB is also in the compact luxury crossover segment, but it’s unique because it’s an EV. It starts at about $54,500 and delivers on what car shoppers expect from a Mercedes while being eco-friendly. The standard electric motor gets 225 hp, and an optional setup makes 288 hp. It can also go 243 miles on a full charge.

Mercedes-Benz GLE

The GLE is in the midsize luxury crossover segment, starting at about $56,000 MSRP. The GLE begins with the same 255-hp engine as the GLC, but Mercedes-Benz gave the GLE even more powerful engine options. The GLE also has an optional 4.0-liter turbocharged V8, which gets 603 hp. Despite being a midsize luxury crossover, the GLE only has two rows of seats.

Mercedes-Benz GLS

The GLS is in the full-size luxury crossover segment, with a starting MSRP of about $78,000. The GLS starts with a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine that gets 362 hp and has similar engine options to the GLE. That said, the GLS has three rows of seats and can seat seven people comfortably.

On top of that, the German automaker offers a version of the GLS called the Mercedes-Maybach GLS, and it’s even more luxurious. However, it will cost far more, starting at about $165,000.

Mercedes-Benz G-Class

One of the most expensive SUVs in Mercedes-Benz’s lineup is the G-Class, and it’s in the midsize SUV segment. It starts at about $140,000. It packs a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that harnesses 416 hp, and folks can upgrade the engine to get 577 hp instead. It’s a competent SUV, mainly off-road, and like many other Mercedes-Benz SUVs, it’s also comfortable.
