The midsize sedan segment is heating up this year, with many top competitors releasing updates and redesigns for their token models. The Altima joins the pack of upgraded family sedans with a few attractive changes for the model year. 2023 Nissan Altima specs, changes, and updates

The 2023 Altima midsize sedan sees a fairly typical mid-cycle refresh. Nothing has been drastically altered, so most of what we know from the 2022 model carries over. However, there are a few changes we can look forward to.

The 2023 Nissan Altima introduces a slightly redesigned front end, with enlargened elements under the headlights, standard LED headlights, and the removal of some chrome pieces by the grille. Nissan calls this update “aggressive and upscale.” Inside, Nissan adds a new 12.3-inch touchscreen for the radio and infotainment system on the SL and SR VC-Turbo trims—it’s optional on the 2023 Altima SV. 

2023 Nissan Altima interior features

Along with the new touchscreen mentioned above, the 2023 Altima will arrive with its standard deep, comfortable seats that the Nissan brand is known for. Higher-grade models offer a matte chrome trim in the interior that gives a modern look, with leather-appointed seats in select trim levels.

The new 2023 Altima will also offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and available wireless charging for Qi-enabled devices. It’s the most connected, and hands-free, Altima ever.

2023 Nissan Altima vs. competitors

The 2023 Nissan Altima will have hefty competition this year, as in past years. The 2023 Honda Accord has been significantly updated for the new model year, while the 2023 Toyota Camry and the 2023 Subaru Legacy received only minor refreshes, like the 2023 Altima. 

The 2023 Nissan Altima is set for release in the fall of 2022. As of 9/12/2022, pricing information was not yet available. The midsize sedan segment has always been fierce, though, and 2023 will be no different. The Altima, Camry, and Legacy all offer all-wheel drive options—the Accord is the odd one out. The Altima has a lot to offer, but its rivals do, too.
