The 2023 Nissan Frontier Just Got More Expensive
Darn it, the Nissan Frontier is late to the party that’s a bit of a bummer. The party involves all of the trucks and SUVs that are getting significant price hikes due to inflation and supply chain shortages. While this truck used to be an affordable option, the 2023 Nissan Frontier price keeps climbing.
How much does the 2023 Nissan Frontier cost?
The 2023 Nissan Frontier price starts at $29,190. It’s a little surprising but nice that it begins under $30,000. However, the destination fee tacks another $1,295 onto the price tag. Also, remember to make room for dealership markups.
The Frontier is now $1,500 more expensive than the 2022 model. The 2022 Frontier starts at $27,840 with a $1,225 destination fee. So, at least the destination fee didn’t go up by much.
Moving up to the top-spec Frontier Pro-4X trim increases the cost to $40,015 with the delivery fee. You could get the 2022 Frontier Pro-4X model for about $38,595.
According to Jalopnik, not much has changed to justify this price hike. But like other automakers, Nissan is struggling with the global semiconductor shortage, inflation, and supply chain issues.
The Frontier is now more expensive than the Toyota Tacoma and Ford Ranger. We’re still waiting for the 2023 Chevy Colorado to get its official price. It seems like the Ford Maverick serves as the only affordable entry-level option, but it’s pretty difficult to get.
What’s new for the 2023 Frontier?
The 2023 Nissan Frontier is primarily a carryover model. But it did gain a new Midnight Edition appearance package which takes it to the dark side. It’s available with SV Crew Cab models and rides on 17-inch black alloy wheels.
Plus, you get black outside mirrors, black badging, a black grille, and black bumpers. The package includes upgraded LED fog lights, headlights, and taillights too. Also, the interior features black accents and a black headliner. It costs $1,790 to add.
The SV Crew Cabs get the Convenience Package as standard equipment. It comes with a heated steering wheel, heated seats, a spray-in bed liner, and under-rail bed lightning.
On an exciting note, the Nissan Frontier Pro-4X gained wireless Apple CarPlay, which is pretty convenient. The Pro Premium package replaced the black accent stitching with Lava Red too.
The Nissian Frontier is still powered by the same 3.8-liter V6 engine with 310 hp and 281 lb-ft of torque, which represents the best-in-class V6 power.
Is the 2023 Frontier worth buying?
Yes, the 2023 Nissan Frontier is an excellent truck to consider. It received significant upgrades that provide more capability, power, and comfort. The suspension upgrades give this truck the best ride quality in the class.
The Frontier features a spacious interior with large, comfortable seats in the front and second row. It’s crafted with high-quality, durable materials and includes tons of innovative storage solutions.
You can access the attractive 7.0-inch digital gauge cluster and 9.0-inch infotainment system. The graphics are crisp and attractive. You can opt for a wireless phone charging pad, Wi-fi hotspot, and a nine-speaker Fender premium audio system.
Despite growing in price, the Frontier is still a great truck to consider. It comes with plenty of value and perks to stand out against the competition.
