Nissan has some great SUVs in its lineup right now, and the Rogue gets a lot of things right. It offers five comfortable seats and plenty of room throughout the cabin, but it is still easy to drive and park. The Rogue is also a safe choice, with high safety scores from groups like the NHTSA and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. On top of that, the 2023 Nissan Rogue price starts at only $29,245 this year. After spending a week driving this compact SUV around the mean streets of Florida, we can see why it is so popular.
What is the 2023 Nissan Rogue price?
The 2023 Nissan Rogue price starts at $27,910 for the base S trim up to the fully-loaded Rogue Platinum at $38,990. All Nissan SUVs are subject to a $1,335 shipping and handling fee, which is reflected in the third column. The options below are equipped with front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is available for an additional $1,500.
Our test vehicle was the 2023 Nissan Rogue Platinum, which came with some additional features like quilted leather upholstery, an updated infotainment screen, and wireless Apple CarPlay. It starts at $37,490 this year, which makes it the top-of-the-line trim.

If you are looking for a budget-friendly option, the 2023 Rogue S will still be sufficient. It has cloth upholstery, a manually adjustable driver’s seat, and an eight-inch touchscreen. All models also get the same 1.5L engine with 201 horsepower paired with the continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).
How safe is the Nissan Rogue?
Regardless of the Nissan Rogue price, every trim level comes equipped with many standard driver-assistance features. Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 suite of systems also led to the NHTSA giving the SUV a five-star overall safety rating. Some of those safety systems include:

Higher trim levels get more systems, such as Traffic Sign Recognition and the Intelligent Around View Monitor. The Intelligent Around View Monitor was particularly helpful, showing a 360° view around the Rogue. It also shows the lines around the vehicle to allow for easier parking. Traffic Sign Recognition is also a favorite, and this system worked particularly well on the Rogue Platinum. During a torrential Florida summer storm, the SUV could still read the signs and present the pertinent information.
The 2023 Nissan Rogue gets good fuel economy and saves you money
While we did take the 2023 Nissan Rogue on the highway, most of our testing was done in city traffic. Even though that meant a lot of stop-and-go, the Rogue proved pretty fuel efficient. With front-wheel drive, the 2023 Rogue gets 30 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway. Our test vehicle was all-wheel drive, which gets 28 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. Those numbers were fairly accurate to what we saw while driving around town.
