The 2023 Nissan Titan is an old truck with a few new tricks. Despite the rumors about the Titan being near the end of its life, it’s sticking around for 2023. It could be redesigned to kick off a new generation or replaced by a new model as it struggles with sales in America. 

The new Nissan Titan Midnight Edition spices things up with black exterior trim pieces such as a black gloss surround grille, black tailgate badges, 20-inch black alloy wheels, and full LED headlights. 

You’ll find black interior trim pieces too. This package costs $1,990 to add and it’s available with the Crew Cab SV trim. 

Higher trim levels such as the Titan Pro-4X and Platinum Reserve have standard wireless Apple CarPlay. Also, each model comes with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 package. 

It includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, high beam assist, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic rear braking, high beam assist, blind spot warning, and lane departure warning. 

How much does the 2023 Titan cost? 

The 2023 Nissan Titan price starts at $41,495. This is an increase of $1,790 compared to the 2022 model. Also, the destination fee increased from $1,695 to $1,795. The entry-level tri has the cheapest price increase. 

Climbing in trim levels and larger models cost between $1,280 to $2,130 more than they used to. Is the extra cash worth it for more safety features and wireless Apple CarPlay? 

According to CarBuzz, nothing else is changing. The Titan still comes with the same old 5.6-liter V8 engine that cranks out 400 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. 

This sounds like a great amount of power, and it is the best-in-class standard V8 powertrain. However, other trucks have multiple engines to consider. The Titan has only one engine and can only tow up to 9,323 lbs. The Ford F-150 can tow up to 14,000 lbs. 

It’s not the best on fuel. This truck gets an EPA-estimated 16 mpg in the city and up to 21 mpg on the highway.

Yes, the 2023 Nissan Titan still has skin in the game. It has the best-in-class warranty and luxury comfort. The cabin is quiet and serene for relaxing drives. Plus, the zero-gravity seats are spacious and incredibly comfortable. 

Each model has a spring-assisted tailgate that’s easy to use, and you can add the unique bed channel system and discreet in-bed cargo boxes to organize your gear. An 8.0-inch touchscreen is standard, but you can upgrade to the 9.0-inch unit and opt for a wireless phone charging pad. 

It’s available in various cab and bed sizes to meet various needs. But the interior layout is a little bland, and rivals offer a better ride quality.
