The 2023 Ram 2500 Just Got Even More Power
Did you know that the Ram 2500 is a beast? Seriously, it’s one robust, heavy-duty truck that’s excellent for towing. It already crossed milestones as an option with the most torque, but now the 2023 Ram 2500 and 3500 have even more power.
How strong is the 2023 Ram 2500?
When properly equipped, the 2023 Ram 2500 can tow up to 20,000 lbs and carry a payload of up to 4,010 lbs. If you need more muscle, the heavy-duty Ram 3500 can tow up to 37,090 lbs and carry a payload of up to 7,680 lbs. It has the best-in-class diesel towing power.
The 6.4-liter V8 HEMI engine delivers 410 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque. You can upgrade to the 6.7-liter inline-six Cummins turbo diesel engine for 410 hp and 1,075 lb-ft of torque. This is up from 1,000 lb-ft of torque.
Ram HD trucks are available with a six-speed and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive comes standard, but you can upgrade to 4×4.
What’s new for 2023 Ram Heavy Duty trucks?
The 2023 Ram 2500 continues to have the best ride thanks to the class-exclusive link-coil rear-suspension system. There is an optional rear air suspension available for the 2500 and 3500 models.
Plus, there are a few notable tech upgrades, such as the new 12-inch frameless digital gauge cluster. There are 12 menus featuring stats and customization options.
You can adjust the tiles to quickly access the data you look at the most. Also, the data can be displayed in an analog or a digital format.
The new digital rearview mirrors include side camera integration. It displays video in real time from a rear-facing camera. According to Muscle Cars and Trucks, you can turn this feature off to revert it to a traditional reflective mirror.
Plus, drivers can now access the Trailer Reverse Steering Control system. It allows drivers to enter trailer measurements. Then the camera tracks the trailer’s position and guides it to the correct position.
Turn the dial in the direction you want your trailer to go, and the truck automatically steers for you. This can be pretty convenient after a long day.
Also, Ram Heavy-Duty trucks have camera enhancements, multiple view modes, a behind-the-trailer view, and a trailer blind spot view. The Trailer Tow pages app is helpful too.
How much does the Ram 2500 cost?
