Big trucks tend to get massive upgrades, which is what the 2023 Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy-Duty trucks are flexing. The updated Ram 2500 gets to show off a few Trailering and towing upgrades. 

What’s new for the 2023 Ram 2500 and 3500? 

The 2023 Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy-Duty models are expected to gain new high-tech towing mirrors. The updated mirrors have already been spotted on two prototype models. They incorporate tons of features into a smaller package. 

Both manual- and power-extending options are in the works. They may include power-adjustable heated glass, spotter glass, integrated turn signals, LED puddle lights, blind-spot indicators, forward and rear-facing spotlights, 360-degree cameras, and new tow cameras. 

Big trucks like the Ford F-250 and Chevy Silverado 2500 have been competing in the towing game by increasing visibility. This is crucial for improving the towing experience to avoid accidents and scraping against obstacles. 

Chevy offers up to eight cameras that feature 15 different views. Four angles are for the trial hitch. Ford provides a 360-degree camera and a bed camera, so it’s time for the Ram 2500 to catch up. 

Are 2023 Ram Heavy-Duty trucks worth waiting for? 

Yes, the 2023 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks are receiving mid-cycle updates that include new tech. It could receive slightly updated looks, including a new hood, bumper, LED headlights, and tail lights. Of course, new unique edition colors are expected as well. 

But the 2022 Ram 2500 and 3500 models received a few notable upgrades if you don’t want to wait. For example, it received the Uconnect 5 infotainment software. We’ve personally tested the system and can confirm that it’s faster with enticing new content. 

The Silver Edition is available on Lone Star, and Big Horn trims. It ups the ante with plenty of chrome exterior pieces and black interior accents. Both of these trim levels got new grille designs too. 

If you go for the Power Wagon, you’ll get a unique grille with black headlight surrounds and upgraded interior materials. It also comes with an electronic transfer case, a 12.0-inch touchscreen, and a 750-watt Harmon Kardon stereo. 

How much is the 2023 Ram HD truck? 

Pricing for the 2023 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks hasn’t been released yet. The 2022 Ram 2500 starts at about $37,750, and the 3500 increases the price to $39,325. Prices may increase by a few hundred bucks for 2023. 

The standard 6.4-liter V8 engine provides 410 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque. You can opt for the 6.7-liter six-cylinder diesel engine for 370 hp and 850 lb-ft of torque. This is the beefier option for towing. 

When properly equipped, the Ram 2500 can tow up to 20,000 lbs, and the Ram 3500 can tow up to 37,090 lbs. The Ram 3500 can carry a payload of up to 7,680 lb, and the 2500 can carry up to 3,240 lbs. 

Currently, the 2023 models aren’t expected to feature towing or payload increases. However, we will keep you updated if that changes. The 2022 and 2023 model years have plenty of tech to simplify getting the job done.
