2023 Ram ProMaster specs: Engine output, towing, payload, and a new electric model
The Ram ProMaster will offer an all-electric model for the first time. However, the electric ProMaster won’t be available until 2023. Ram will provide the specs for the electric ProMaster at a later date. Based on the Fiat E-Ulysses, the electric ProMaster aims to be a direct competitor of the Ford E-Transit. The first customer for the electric ProMaster will be Amazon.
Beyond the electric model, the ProMaster features a 3.6-liter V-6 engine. Mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission, the engine generates 276 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. The ProMaster has a towing capacity of 6,910 pounds and a payload capacity of 4,680 pounds. All ProMaster models have a front-wheel drive system.
2023 Ram ProMaster: Design and exterior and interior features
The 2023 Ram ProMaster offers 19 different configurations. This includes four vehicle lengths, three wheelbases and roof heights, and four cargo lengths (8’, 10’, 12’, and 13’). The updated exterior design includes a new front end with headlights that provide increased illumination, as well as a new roll-up door that makes it easier to load cargo.
Additional new exterior enhancements include a Black Appearance Package with a black grille, badges, and alloy wheels. Buyers of the ProMaster can also get the cargo van with black machined-face or silver wheels. For exterior paint color options, the new hues for 2023 are Ceramic Gray and Spitfire Orange.
For the interior of the 2023 ProMaster, the most significant upgrade is the Uconnect 5 infotainment system, which is available in either a 7” or 10” reconfigurable touchscreen display. The new Uconnect 5 system is five times faster than the outgoing system and has a wide range of useful features. This includes a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, TomTom navigation, Alexa In-Vehicle Assistant, user profiles, and a customizable home screen.
Safety-enhancing driving assistance features for the 2023 Ram ProMaster
The 2023 Ram ProMaster provides a safe ride with its plethora of safety-enhancing driving assistance technologies. Parking is made easy with the new Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist features. Other notable driving assistance features include Traffic Sign Recognition, Drowsiness Detection, Crosswind Assist, Active Driving Assist, and a 360-degree surround-view camera.
When will the 2023 Ram ProMaster be released and available?
According to Ram, the 2023 Ram ProMaster will be available in the fall of 2022. The 2023 ProMaster will be available to buy at Ram dealerships throughout the United States, as well as in select international markets.
