The 2023 Ram Rebel Havoc Enhances Off-Roading Comfort
We have good news for off-roading enthusiasts because the Ram 1500 Rebel isn’t done pushing new limits yet. Instead of being replaced by the TRX, it holds its own with true capability at a lower price. Now the 2023 Ram Rebel Havoc Edition adds even more equipment for tackling the wild in comfort.
What comes with the 2023 Ram Rebel Havoc Edition?
The 2023 Ram Rebel Havoc Edition starts things off with a unique shade of Baja Yellow paint. You won’t miss this bright beast flying through the woods or the desert. The bright yellow paint is accented by black Rebel badging.
Plus, the grille, bumpers, anti-reflective hood decal, wheel wells, tow hooks, vents, side mirrors, and 18-inch wheels are also black. It matches the 2023 Ram TRX Havoc Edition.
The 2023 Rebel features Selec-speed control. According to Torque News, it allows the truck to maintain consistent speeds while traversing various slopes. It sounds a bit like Hill Descent Control.
The system automatically applies engine torque and brake pressure to maintain a steady speed, allowing the driver to simply focus on steering.
It features a 12.0-inch infotainment screen with Off-Road pages that can be customized. It’s powered by the Uconnect 5 system. The combo of tech and graphics can be personalized to display different off-roading stats, such as your pitch and roll.
Extra convenience features include heated seats, a heated steering wheel, an 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, and a 19-speaker Harmon Kardon premium audio system.
How much power does the Ram Havoc have?
The 2023 Ram Rebel Havoc Edition is powered by the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine with 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. The standard Ram Rebel engine is the 3.6-liter V6 engine with 305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque, so this is a nice bump in power.
Both engine options are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the Rebel can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 5.9 seconds.
It rides on 18-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain tires. The unique off-road tuned air suspension features an electronically locking rear differential.
The Rebel has extra skid plates, larger wheel flares, power-coated bumpers, a unique grille, a sports performance hood, tow hooks, and a dual exhaust system.
It has a ground clearance of 8.3 inches with an 18.0-degree approach angle, a 19.0-degree break-over angle, and a departure angle of 25.0 degrees.
