The Crosstrek has quickly become a favorite amongst critics and drivers alike. It’s the perfect vehicle for going off-road and has a smooth drive while traveling through town. Even better is the starting price. It is affordable with lots of features on the available five trims. Here is a breakdown of all the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek trim levels.

The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek base model

The base model is the trim level that typically has the least to offer consumers beyond the most affordable price. This Subaru Crosstrek trim has a starting price of $23,645, providing quite a bit more features than some competitors for a lower price.

The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine generates 152 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque, which is the same as the Premium trim. All-wheel drive comes standard on all trim levels, as it does for everything Subaru designs, except the BRZ. It gets 33 mpg on the highway and 28 mpg in the city.

You’ll also be able to tow up to 1,500 pounds on all trims except the hybrid, which allows you to haul a small boat or camper. 

There aren’t many standard safety features on the base model, but you can upgrade to Eye-Sight Assist. A rear-vision camera does come standard, as well as Subaru Starlink Multimedia, according to Subaru.

The Premium trim

This trim level has a lot in common with the base trim. Almost everything is the same, except for a few additional perks such as auto-on/off headlights, an optional moonroof, standard fog lights, body-color folding side mirrors, an optional 8-speed manual mode with paddle shifters, and 4G LTE Wi-Fi.

Given that there aren’t many differences between the base and premium trim levels, it should be no surprise that the starting price is $24,795.

The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Sport trim 

The Sport trim is where things begin to change up. It comes equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 182 hp and 176 lb-ft of torque. This is the same engine that is on the Limited. Both get 34 mpg on the highway and 27 mpg in the city.

Eye-sight assist comes standard on the Sport, Limited, and Hybrid trims. Blind-spot detection is optional. 

The starting price is slightly more expensive than the Premium, with an MSRP of $27,995.

The Limited trim

Like the Base and Premium trims, the Sport and Limited have much in common. One significant difference is that you’ll be treated to leather seats with orange contrast stitching to spice things up. 

Blind spot detection comes standard, as well as some very nice 18-inch alloy wheels, LED Steering Responsive Headlights, LED Fog Lights, power driver’s seat, and a color multifunction display.

The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Limited trim has an MSRP of $29,495.

The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid model

This is the trim where things start to get quite expensive. It comes with a four-cylinder engine, which generates 148 hp and 149 lb-ft of torque. It also gets 90 MPGe and can go 17 miles gasoline-free thanks to the electric engine.

Leather trim comes standard, although the contrast stitching is blue as opposed to the orange on the Limited trim. You’ll also get blind spot detection, a color multifunction display, an instrument cluster with a speedometer and power meter, and low-profile roof rails.

The one major downside, besides the price we’ll discuss soon, is the drop in towing capability. Unlike the other trims, which can haul up to 1,500 pounds, the Hybrid trim only gets 1,000 pounds. That may not be a big deal for some drivers, but for others, having a Subaru means getting out in the great outdoors.

The MSRP for the Hybrid is $36,845, making it the most expensive trim of all.
