We’re excited because Toyota is listening when it comes to the Toyota RAV4. Complaints about one potentially frustrating feature have been addressed for the 2023 Toyota RAV4. Now, this popular SUV is even better. 

2023 Toyota RAV4: What’s new? 

Te 2023 Toyota RAV4 is gaining multimedia upgrades. Lower trim levels are equipped with a new 8.0-inch infotainment screen. Higher trim levels, like the RAV4 Prime, get a 10.5-inch infotainment system. 

Lower trim levels also have a standard 7.0-inch digital gauge cluster, while higher trims get an optional 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. 

While driving the 2022 Toyota RAV4, we were impressed by the digital gauge cluster. It was easy to customize with attractive graphics and provides crucial off-roading information. 

However, the 8.0-inch touchscreen didn’t seem up to par. The design was fine. It looked like a table was placed in the middle of the dashboard, like an afterthought. Options like the Ford Mustang Mach-E literally have tablet-style infotainment screens, so that’s fine. 

But the screen was a little blurry, and the graphics seemed dated. This RAV4 generation kicked off in 2019, which wasn’t too long ago. You would expect this SUV to have a modern screen. Also, the backup camera seemed blurry. 

What else is new for the 2023 RAV4? 

Aside from new screens, the 2023 Toyota RAV4 gets the new Toyota Multimedia System with support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This is a convenient upgrade, especially with a wireless phone charging pad. 

The software also allows users to connect two smartphones at once. Plus, the available Wi-Fi hotspot provides 4G connectivity for up to five devices. So, everyone in the car can connect their phone. 

It also allows users to stream music by connecting to separate links to Apple Music and Amazon Music subscriptions for onboard vehicle control. 

The Toyota Multimedia System features over-the-air updates with touch and voice controls. The Connected Drive Service provides access to an Intelligent Assistant. You can use it for navigation or control the music volume. 

Tons of safety features like blind-spot monitoring, rear seat reminders, automatic high beams, a pre-collision system with automatic braking and pedestrian detection, full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure warning, and more come standard. 

What’s the RAV4 Hybrid Woodland Edition? 

The 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Woodland Edition just came out. It adds rugged off-roading upgrades to the hybrid model for enhanced capabilities. The TRD-tuned suspension, upgraded twin-tube shocks, and beefy all-terrain tires allow the bird model to go further than before. 

With the Woodland Edition, you get flow-formed Bronze wheels for enhanced strength, custom all-weather cargo, floor mats, unique black badging, black mudguards, projector-beam headlights with integrated fog lights, and dual black chrome-tipped exhaust. 

You also get a raised black roof rack with cross bars to carry extra camping gear. The rear features a 120-volt inverter to power devices. 

Pricing for this model hasn’t been released. The 2022 Toyota RAV4 has an MSRP of $26,975. We wouldn’t be surprised if the price increased by a few hundred bucks to cover the new upgrades for 2023.
