The 2023 Toyota Tundra Only Has 1 Spicy Update
Just because the Toyota Tundra was just totally revamped for the 2022 model year doesn’t mean it can’t bring fresh updates to the table. The 2023 Toyota Tundra is rolling out with a new appearance package that doesn’t break the bank.
What comes with the 2023 Toyota Tundra SX package?
The price of the 2023 Toyota Tundra SX package hasn’t been officially revealed. But it’s expected to cost about $800 to make your truck look more confident and attractive. On that note, the entry-level 2022 Tundra starts at $35,950.
So, you could have a super unique-looking ride for under $37,000. However, this price doesn’t include the destination fee or dealership markups.
Anyways, the SX package builds upon the SR5 trim with dark gray 18-inch wheels, blacked-out badging, body-color-matching door handles, and matching bumper inserts. The package is available in shades of White, Magnetic Gray, Celestial Silver, and Midnight Black paint.
The interior features darker vibes, as pieces of silver trim, have been blacked out. The package is amiable with the SX Double Cab option with the 6.5-foot bed and the Crew Cab model with a 5.5-bed.
What comes standard with the 2023 Tundra?
The 2023 Toyota Tundra SR comes with the standard 3.5-liter V6 engine with 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. According to Edmunds, rear-wheel drive comes standard, but you can upgrade to four-wheel drive with low-range gearing.
You need to upgrade to the Limited, Platinum, or 1794 Edition trims to access the more powerful engine. It’s standard with the Capstone and TRD Pro models.
The upgraded i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain pairs the 3.5-liter engine with an electric motor to crank out 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque.
The standard Tundra features 18-inch steel wheels, LED headlights, proximity keyless entry and ignition, an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, and a sheet-molded composite bed.
Standard safety features for the entire lineup include forward collision migration, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assistance.
Upgrading to the SR5 trim provides access to the SX package. You also get alloy wheels, LED foglights, a rear center armrest with cupholders, adjustable tie-down cleats in the bed, and the towing package.
How much do we expect the 2023 Tundra to cost?
The 2023 Toyota Tundra price is expected to start at around $36,000. The official cost hasn’t been released. However, the 2022 model begins at $35,950. According to Kelley Blue Book, the price could increase by a few hundred bucks to cover inflation.
There are seven trim levels to choose from. The Capstone trim is the cream of the crop with 22-inch wheels, power-deploying running boards, sound-reducing windows, and a head-up display.
The 1794 Edition celebrates Texas with unique ranch styling and tons of weather upholstery. The 360-degree camera system, ambient lighting, panoramic moonroof, and wireless phone charger are a few of the perks.
Also, the Toyota Tundra TRD Pro tackles the wild with a 1.1-inch suspension lift, 18-inch TRD wheels wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain tires, Fox suspension dampers, skid plates, and a rear locking differential, and crawl control.
The Tundra doesn’t have a lot of updates for 2023, but it still feels brand new. We can’t wait to see how the SX package compares to the rest of the lineup.
