What comes with the 2023 Toyota Venza Nightshade Edition?
The 2023 Toyota Venza Nightshade Edition takes a darker approach in an attempt to attract new buyers with a new trendy style. The dark accents are enough to please Wednesday Adams, but is it worth buying?
It features tons of black exterior accents. Areas of chrome around the grille have been replaced by black, the door handles are black, and the mirror covers are, you guessed it, black.
Other black pieces include the roof rails, shark fin antenna, 19-inch multi-spoke wheels, badging, rocker rails, and lower bumpers.
The Venza Nightshade is available in shades of Celestial Black, Wind Chill Pearl, and Ruby Flare Red. It has standard LED headlights and can be paired with the Star Gaze panoramic roof.
You can get started with the Nightshade Edition for about $38,930. It builds upon the XLE trim, which starts at about $37,805. So, it costs $1,125 to add black flair.
What comes with the Venza XLE?
The 2023 Toyota Venza Nightshade Edition is based on the XLE trim, which features 19-ich alloy wheels, LED projector-style headlights, keyless entry, ambient interior lighting, a 7-inch driver information display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, heated seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, simulated leather upholstery, parking sensors, and automatic rear braking.
The XLE trim is the second model in the lineup. It already has a wireless phone charger, heated mirrors, a hands-free liftgate, dual-zone climate control, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite radio, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and blind-spot monitoring.
Each 2023 Toyota Venza model has standard all-wheel drive, adaptive cruise control, lane departure mitigation, and lane-keeping assistance.
Every model is a hybrid and comes with the standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder, three electric motors, and a lithium-ion battery to generate 219 hp and 163 lb-ft of torque. The 2023 Venza gets an EPA-estimated 40 mpg in the city and up to 37 mpg on the highway.
Is the Toyota Venza worth buying?
Even if you don’t opt for the 2023 Toyota Venza Nightshade Edition, this hybrid still has tons to offer. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 7.6 seconds, making it faster than the Honda Passport.
The 2023 Venza features near-luxury quality with an incredibly smooth ride and well-insulated cabin. Wind and road noise are kept at bay. Plus, the front and rear seats are large, supportive, and spacious. The rear seats even recline.
Modern tech features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen, head-up display, 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, dual-zone climate control, built-in navigation, and a Wi-fi hotspot.
The optional Star Gaze panoramic roof glass switches between clear and a front tiny with the push of a button. It has an electrochromic sunshade that acts like transition lenses too.
But the Toyota Venza could use more passenger space, and it isn’t rated for towing. Other than that, it’s a luxurious bargain that looks even better with black accents.
