The debut of the 2024 Chevy Silverado electric pickup truck received much fanfare for Chevrolet at CES 2022. However, during CES 2022, the automaker revealed another important model for its electrification strategy: the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV, an all-electric crossover SUV. When will the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV be available?

Chevrolet announced that the release date of the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV will be in Fall 2023. The 2024 Equinox EV will be available at dealerships throughout the United States and in various international markets. Chevrolet will offer both fleet and retail versions of the 2023 Equinox EV. This includes the LT and LS trims.

How much does the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV cost?

Chevrolet stated that the starting price for the 2024 Equinox EV will be around $30,000 MSRP. The automaker didn’t reveal how much each Equinox EV trim costs, including the announced LT and LS trims. The electric crossover SUV could also offer a base LS trim and a top-tier Premier trim.

2024 Chevy Equinox EV specs: Electric range, battery, charging, and horsepower

There are not many details available about the specs of the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV. However, the electric vehicle will likely have a driving range of around 300 miles. Like other electric vehicles from Chevrolet and GM, the Equinox EV will ride on the Ultium platform. Currently, battery packs for the Ultium platform have capacities that range from 50 kWh to around 200 kWh. The Equinox EV will likely offer fast-charging capabilities as well.

While the Chevy Bolt EUV crossover doesn’t currently offer an all-wheel system, it will probably be an option for the Equinox EV. With an all-wheel drive system, the Equinox EV will have dual electric motors. Therefore, it will have a higher horsepower output than the 200 hp generated from the single electric motor in the Bolt EUV.

Exterior and interior design of the 2024 Equinox EV

While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it’s difficult not to be impressed by the eye-catching exterior design of the 2024 Equinox EV. The Equinox EV shares a name with the currently-available gas-powered Equinox, but it differs considerably for its exterior design. It’s more curved and nicely blends futuristic design elements with traditional crossover SUV design features.

Inside the cabin, the Equinox EV features a digital dashboard that’s similar to the recently revealed Silverado electric truck. Also, the touchscreen, with a tall center-console configuration, looks like the one that’s in the Cadillac Lyric. Much of the styling themes throughout the rest of the Equinox EV’s cabin are similar to the Bolt EUV crossover and Bolt EV hatchback.
