The Chevrolet Equinox is a reliable SUV that has long been a contender as one of the best family vehicles in the market. In recent years, the introduction of the Equinox EV has shaken things up, offering affordability and a way for drivers to be more environmentally conscious. With excellent safety features and a sleek finish, the Chevy Equinox EV is one of 2024’s most anticipated releases. While it isn’t yet on the market, all signs point to a winning vehicle that boasts five distinct trims and a wealth of features that prove this SUV has something for everyone.

When will the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV be released?

The 2024 Chevy Equinox EV is the latest in a long line of environmentally friendly, spacious SUVs designed for people who live on the go. With plenty of storage space and a sporty exterior, the Equinox EV gets approximately 70 miles of range out of about 10 minutes of charging and about 300 miles on a full charge. According to the Chevrolet website, the Equinox EV has an 8-year/100,000-mile battery-limited warranty.

The 2024 Chevy Equinox EV’s starting price is estimated at around $30,000 on the base model. However, for those looking for something extra, there will be five total trims to choose from, each with a slightly higher price than the base model. Each trim has something to appeal to busy families, and all models include automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, forward collision alert, and lane keep assist with lane departure warning. The vehicle is expected to release on a limited basis in the fall of 2023, with a wider release scheduled for spring 2024.

What to know about the 5 Equinox EV trims

According to a media release from Chevrolet, there are five 2024 Chevy Equinox EV trims, including the 1LT, 2LT, 2RS, 3LT, and 3RS. The base model 1LT includes manual-adjust front seats and an 11-inch diagonal infotainment system. In contrast, the upgraded 2LT includes an eight-way power-adjustable driver seat, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, 19-inch machine-face aluminum wheels, a front LED light bar, heated outside mirrors, an available sunroof, and roof rails.

The 2RS offers all the features of the 2LT, along with upgrades such as 20-inch dark aluminum wheels and the sleeker black roof option. The 3LT changes it again, with an available head-up display and full-display camera mirror (with rear washer), a standard presence-based power liftgate, heated wiper park, dual-zone climate control, and an available Bose audio system. The 3RS is the most upgraded trim and will likely be the most expensive. With 21-inch aluminum wheels and a standard presence-based power liftgate, this trim promises to capture everyone’s attention while remaining comfortable, smooth, and extremely safe.

The most exciting elements of the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV

Although many electric SUVs aren’t as visually appealing as their gas-powered counterparts, the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV is breaking the cycle with an attractive finish and all the features discerning drivers could hope for. There are also specific finishes that shoppers are excited about when it is released later this year. These include the appealing flat-bottomed steering wheel, the large infotainment screen, and of course, the upholstery, which early release photos have shown features contrasting colors. Even though it will be a while before buyers can experience the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV for themselves, it’s stacking up to be one of the most beautiful and inviting EVs in recent memory.
