The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV RST is the final Silverado EV trim. The RST has an estimated MSRP of $105,000. Why is the electric pickup truck so expensive? The Silverado EV uses the same electric powertrain as the GMC Hummer EV. Chevy’s pickup may not be as powerful, but the Silverado EV RST gets pretty close. It also has an impressive driving range.
Motor1 claims that the Silverado EV RST is capable of producing 754 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque. Talk about torquey. Chevy’s electric pickup truck will be a powerhouse. Large battery pack models can travel for 400 miles on a fully charged battery. The average new electric vehicle has around 220-250 miles of standard driving range.
The Silverado EV’s final trim is pricey, there’s no doubt about it. That being said, the consumers that are able to afford the RST will have a driving experience that’s practically unparalleled. The best thing about Chevy’s new electric pickup truck is that it comes in different trim levels, so drivers with different budgets can enjoy it. The 2024 Chevy Silverado EV RST is slated for fall 2023.
The Chevy Silverado EV WT could become wildly popular
Several electric pickup trucks have been introduced since the arrival of the first mass-produced electric truck in North America, the Rivian R1T. Thus far, the Rivian R1T, Ford F-150 Lightning, and Lordstown Endurance have all been released.

The Ford F-150 Lightning had a head start in the race to become the most popular electric pickup truck, but the 2023 model year is significantly more expensive. If Chevrolet produces an affordable electric pickup truck, then it has a high likelihood of becoming more popular than expensive rivals.
