The 2024 Ford Ranger Order Bank Is Officially Open
Are you warmed up and ready for the new Ford Ranger? Because the race to get your order in has officially started. We aren’t sure how many models are available, but if it’s like the Ford F-150 Lightning or Maverick, then it will sell out pretty quickly. Here’s how to reserve your 2024 Ford Ranger.
When can you order the 2024 Ford Ranger?
You can order the 2024 Ford Ranger on May 26th. But we don’t have the official time, so stay vigilant. Production is expected to begin on August 7th at the Michigan Assembly plant, but things are subject to change.
The new Ranger was already delayed due to ongoing supply chain shortages and rising inflation. Hopefully, things will stay on track as the current model is phased out of production. This is also where the Ford Bronco is made, so that could impact the timeline as well.
The Ford Ranger build and price configurator is already open. You can consider your options, packages, and paint colors. The Ford Ranger Raptor is even available to build. Deliveries could take place by the end of the year.
Which 2024 Ranger trim is best?
There are four 2024 Ford Ranger trims available. The standard Ranger XL starts at $32,565, the XLT has an MSRP of $36,005, the Lariat is begins at $43,525, and the Ranger Raptor takes things up to $55,365.
These prices don’t include the $1,595 destination fee, and 4×4 is only standard with the Raptor. Adding 4×4 tacks another $3,485 onto the price.
The 2024 Ranger XL has the standard 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine with 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. The XL and XLT trims are available with the optional 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that cranks out 315 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque.
With the 2024 Range Raptor, you get the turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine with 405 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. It’s the same engine that’s found in the Ford Bronco Raptor. Each engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
While the XL offers cash savings with the basics, such as a 10.0-inch touchscreen, tailgate lock, keyless entry, cloth upholstery, and a six-speaker audio system, the XLT model adds a little more comfort and convenience.
The XLT adds a wireless charging pad, LED headlights/taillamps, Ford Copilot 360, built-in navigation, in-cab/ in-bed 400w power, privacy glass, and the Sports Appearance package. It’s probably the best deal for a comfortable daily driver and capable work truck.
With the Lariat, you get ambient lighting, 18-inch wheels, LED bed lighting, a 12.0-inch infotainment screen, zone lighting, dual-automatic climate control, a Bang & Olufsen 10-speaker premium audio system, leather-trimmed seats, bucket seats, power-adjustable front seats, heated seats, a 12-inch digital gauge cluster, and power glass.
What comes with the 2024 Ranger Raptor?
The 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor has a race-derived anti-lag system in certain drive modes that keep the turbos spinning for 3.0 seconds after letting off the gas and magnesium paddle shifters.
It rides on 17-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch BFGoodrich KO3 all-terrain tires. The suspension features frame and mount reinforcements, enhanced upper control arms, a live rear axle with Watts linkage, and electronically controlled Fox Live Valve Shock absorbers.
Steel skid plates protect the electronically locking rear differential, radiator, engine sump, and steering. Tow hooks complete the look. You also get six up-fitter switches and a 360-degree camera system.
The best Ranger model is the one that suits your needs, from a basic work truck to a beef desert racer. Stay tuned for delivery and production updates.
