What comes with the 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4X?
The 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4X has a 1.5-inch suspension lift and rides on 18-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires. It has a ground clearance of 11.1 inches.
Like the similar Chevy Silverado 2500 AT4X, it features Multimatic Dynamic Suspension Spool Valve (DSSV) dampers. It has specific upper and lower control arms that are connected to upgraded steering knuckles.
The undercarriage is protected by an aluminum skidplate in the front and an underbody steel transfer case skid plate. It also has a rear-locking electronic differential.
MotorTrend shared that the GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4X has a new Off-Road mode that automatically adjusts the transmission shifts, throttle, traction control, and disc brakes for an optimal performance.
It has an impressive 31.6-degree approach angle, a 25.7-degree break-over angle, and a 21.2-degree departure angle.
What is the Sierra 2500HD AEV Edition?

It adds 18-inch Salta wheels wrapped in chunky off-road tires, revised steel bumpers with a built-in winch and tow hooks, and steel skid plates. So, it does offer a little more protection. But the AT4X AEV Edition weighs 8,605 lbs when equipped with the diesel engine.
The GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4X comes standard with the 6.6-liter V8 gasoline engine that cranks out 401 hp and 464 lb-ft of torque.
Upgrade to the 6.6-liter Duramax V8 turbodiesel engine for 470 hp and 975 lb-ft of torque. Both options are paired with the 10-speed automatic Allison transmission. You can’t ask for a transmission with a better name, in our opinion.
The AT4X can tow up to 18,500 lbs and carry a payload of up to 3,291 lbs. The fifth wheel/gooseneck towing capacity comes in at 18,000 lbs.
