The 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 6 electric sedan will probably share an EV platform with the IONIQ 5. Like the IONIQ 5, the base models of the IONIQ 6 will likely have a single electric motor at the rear wheels, while the higher trim models will have a dual-motor all-wheel drive system. For the output, the horsepower produced will vary between 168 to 320 horsepower.

The IONIQ 6 will likely also have the same battery packs as the IONIQ 5. With the larger battery, the IONIQ 5 has an estimated driving range of 303 miles. However, with its more aerodynamic shape, the IONIQ 6 might have a higher driving range; it will also have fast-charging capabilities.

Radical design of the 2024 IONIQ 6

The 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 6, which is based on the Prophecy concept vehicle, has a radical design that fuses futuristic and retro styling features. For the unique look, Hyundai claims it drew inspiration from the “streamlined cars of the 1930s.” Also, at the front end of the IONIQ 6, you can see similarities to the Tesla Model 3 and Porsche Taycan, while the rear spoiler is similar to that of a “ducktail Porsche 911.”

The IONIQ 6 emphasizes “lounge-like comfort” for the interior. The cabin is minimalist and modern, while the flat floor enhances the feeling of spaciousness. Also, the EV sedan has a dual-color ambient lighting system, with a spectrum of 64 colors and six dual-color themes.
