2024 Hyundai Santa Fe: What we know so far 

The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe could be more rugged than before as it adopts a new, boxier shape. According to Car Scoops, the new Hyundai Santa Fe has been spotted in testing with a wild new design. 

While the videos and images show a boxy SUV covered in camouflage, we can still gather clues about what to expect. For example, the new Santa Fe looks a little longer with a much taller roof line. 

In a video from South Korea, you can see the covered Santa Fe parked beside a Kia Carnival. It only looks about three to four inches shorter in length. 

This tracks as the 2024 Santa Fe is expected to grow in size. It could be considered a large SUV to help differentiate it from the smaller Hyundai Tucson. Currently, the Santa Fe has a wheelbase that’s only one inch longer than the Tucson’s. 

We can see that the A-Pillar has a new shape, and the windshield has a sharper angle. Plus, the headlights seem to have a brand new design. The Santa Fe has massive roof pillars and chunky rims that could indicate more off-roading prowess. 

Will the 2024 Santa Fe have more power? 

Maybe, details about the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe are still being kept under wraps. But we speculate that the Santa Fe could get a little more muscle to accommodate its larger size. Also, rumors about the 2024 Santa Fe Hybrid are floating around. 

Currently, the Hyundai Santa Fe has a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 191 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque. You can upgrade to the turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine for 281 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque. 

The Santa Fe Hybrid features a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a 44.2-kW electric motor, and a 1.49-kW lithium-ion battery. The system generates 226 hp. It gets an EPA-estimated 36 mpg in the city and up to 31 mpg on the highway. 

With the Santa Fe Plug-in Hybrid, you get a four-cylinder engine, 66.9-kW electric motor, and a 13.8 lithium-ion battery. The system cranks out 261 hp, and drivers can travel 30 miles of electric range on a single charge. 

Will the 2024 Santa Fe have a new interior? 

Yes, the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe will feature a new interior. We’re wondering if the SUV will have three rows of seats, like the Kia Sorento. Images show the interior with the seats folded flat. This could indicate that the new model has more cargo space.
