According to Kia, 2008 model years and every model year after 2008 are covered by a 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty. In short, Kia will take responsibility for any 2024 Kia Telluride powertrain issues within the 10-year/100,000-mile period (whichever comes first).

MarketWatch calls Kia’s powertrain coverage “above average.” A coverage period of 10 years sounds amazing, but the reality is that most drivers will reach 100,000 miles in seven years or less. Still, the warranty is far superior to many competitors’ average five-year/60,000-mile warranty. Kia models receive coverage for at least an additional two years, which is something to consider when choosing a vehicle.

Kia’s warranty program also includes a five-year/60,000-mile limited basic warranty. This covers replacing and repairing vehicle components (not to be confused with maintenance). The 2024 Kia Telluride starts at $35,990 but costs $37,355 with the destination fee. Unfortunately, it is the most expensive iteration of the midsize SUV yet, costing roughly $330 more than the 2023 Kia Telluride.

The new Telluride will use the same 3.8-liter V6 engine as in previous years. Kia’s biggest change to the Telluride is the addition of new amber daytime running lights to every trim. All other alterations are minor cosmetic changes.
