What are the 2024 Mazda CX-90 trims and starting prices?

The 2024 Mazda CX-90 3.3 Turbo Select is the base model, starting at $39,595. It has a 260-hp inline-six engine that’s both turbocharged and assisted by a mild-hybrid system. That pairs with standard all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. 

The standard Mazda CX-90 has seating for eight on leatherette-trimmed seats, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, and smartphone integration. It also has many advanced safety features, including forward collision warning, lane-keeping assistance, and blind-spot monitors. 

The next trim level is the 3.3 Turbo Preferred, starting at $43,445. Extra features include leather-trimmed seats with heating for cabin passengers, rear sunshades, and a sunroof. Those features carry over to the 3.3 Turbo Preferred Plus, which starts at $45,900.

The Mazda CX-90 3.3 Turbo Premium retails for $48,900 and features second-row captain’s chairs, a larger sunroof, and driver’s seat memory settings. It also has a premium Bose audio system and built-in navigation.

The Turbo Premium Plus adds Nappa leather upholstery with ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. That model costs at least $52,950.

The gas-powered Mazda CX-90 also has three Turbo S trims, with the most affordable starting at $51,750. The mild-hybrid system is optimized to generate 340 hp and inherits all of the features from the CX-90 Turbo Premium.

The Turbo S Premium is comparable to the Turbo Premium Plus trim, though it can only seat six instead of seven. It’s priced at $56,450. And the Mazda CX-90 Turbo S Premium Plus, with standard quilted leather seats, costs almost $60,000.

There are also three Mazda CX-90 PHEV trims with similar naming conventions and features to match their corresponding Turbo models. All produce 323 hp and have an all-electric driving range of 26 miles. Starting prices range from $47,445 to $56,950.

Based on Edmunds’ data, most shoppers favor the Mazda CX-90 3.3 Turbo Preferred Plus. Consumers pay an average of $47,275, slightly higher than its current MSRP. Buyers pay more for upgraded exterior color options, an available tow package, ambient lighting, and other extras.

What’s so great about the 3.3 Turbo Preferred Plus?

One of the main benefits of this 2024 Mazda CX-90 trim is that it increases the SUV’s overall capability. With its optional towing mode, it can pull up to 5,000 pounds. The base model has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. 

The 3.3 Turbo Preferred Plus also offers more convenience thanks to wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. And if all USB ports are in use, riders can take advantage of the available wireless charging pad. In addition, the standard head-up display allows the driver to keep track of the vehicle’s speed without having to look down at the gauge cluster. 

Even with some extra upgrades from Mazda, buyers will still pay under $50,000 for numerous features. Furthermore, this version of the gas-powered CX-90 gets an EPA-estimated 24/28 mpg city/highway, yielding more fuel savings than many midsize SUV rivals.
