Most purchases have a little give-and-take, especially when it comes to picking a car. Some cars might not check off all your boxes, but the Nissan Sentra gets pretty close. There are only a few things that hold the 2024 Nissan Sentra back.

The first 2024 Nissan Sentra feature you have to live without is wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Also, there are analog gauges, there’s no head-up display, and the 8.0-inch touchscreen is a bit small with dated graphics.
However, the lack of the most advanced tech possible allows Nissan to keep prices down. The Sentra starts at $21,275 and goes up to $24,815, including the $1,095 destination fee.
While the tech is basic, it covers all the bass and it’s very easy to use. Plus, the Sentra has a long list of standard safety features including blind spot warning, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and rear automatic braking.
The next trade-off is for rear seat space. The back seat isn’t the best for taller folks, but anyone around 5’2” should be fine back there. Also, there are no rear vents to keep rear passengers cool.
However, there is an abundance of cargo space to enjoy. There is a generous tray in front of the gear shifter and the glove box has a ton of room. The front seats recline so far back, providing space to stretch out and take breaks as needed.
Best of all, the trunk is huge! You can fit so many suitcases back there, it’s ridiculous. There are 14.3 cubic feet of cargo space in the trunk.
Next up, don’t expect the 2024 Nissan Sentra to be a speed demon. It has a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 149 hp and 146 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 8.8 seconds, which is adequate.
You have plenty of power for merging into traffic and running errands, with a smooth acceleration to enjoy. Also, the lack of speed contributes to a surprisingly good fuel economy. The 2024 Sentra gets an EPA-estimated 30 mpg in the city and up to 40 mpg on the highway.
Last but not least, the climate control system could be a bit stronger. It has solid air coverage for cooling front passengers off, but things take a few minutes to kick in on hotter days.
But the comfort that the rest of the 2024 Sentra provides makes up for the difference. It has a smooth ride quality, with plush and supportive seats.
Overall, the Sentra is a comfortable daily driver that packs in value without breaking the bank. It may not be the fastest or most luxurious car in the world, but it covers the basics with upscale charm.
