The 2024 Rivian R1T Just Got Cheaper
Surprise, sometimes trucks can get cheaper. The Rivian R1T is the latest example of an automaker slashing prices, but that’s not all. In an effort to compete with other electric trucks, the Rivian R!t gained more standard features too.
How much does the 2024 Rivian R1T cost?
You can get started in a 2024 Rivian R1T for about $74,800. We know that’s an increase of $3,100 as the outgoing model starts at $71,700 but stick with us.
Every model now has the Standard+ Pack battery instead of the Standard battery, resulting in $3,100 of savings. Plus, you get 45 extra miles of range. The base model used to have 270 miles of range, but now it has 315 miles.
Also, don’t forget about the $3,750 tax credit and these prices include the $1,800 destination fee. You can upgrade to the Large pack battery for 352 miles of range or the Max pack for a whopping 410 miles of range.
The Ford F-150 Lighting offers about 320 miles of range and the Tesla Cybertruck claims to have up to 340 miles of range. The Rivian R1T will go further than its rivals.
The R1T has 553 hp with the standard dual-motor AWD powertrain. With the quad-motor setup, you get 835 hp. This model can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 3.3 seconds.
If you need to get work done, the R1T can tow up to 11,000 lbs. This matches what the Cybertruck can tow and the Lightning maxes out at 10,000 lbs. The R1T can also carry a payload of up to 1,760 lbs.
With a DC fast charger, you can replenish about 120 miles of range in roughly 20 minutes. A Level 2 charger adds about 25 miles of range per hour. With a 120V plug or home outlet, you can gain about three miles of range per hour.
