The Chevy Corvette is going all-electric. GM revealed a move toward electrification of the iconic sports car. First, it will offer a hybrid Corvette, followed by a fully electric version. At this time, many details are yet to be divulged by Chevrolet. Find out what we know so far about the expected specs, design, and price of the 2025 Chevy Corvette EV.

2025 Chevy Corvette EV specs: Electric motors

The official specs of the electric powertrain in the 2025 Chevy Corvette EV are not yet available. However, Car and Driver believes it will have either three or four electric motors, generating an output of over 1,000 hp. Like GM’s other electric vehicles, such as the Chevy Silverado EV pickup truck, the Corvette EV will feature the Ultium battery platform. It will undoubtedly be competitive on the performance front against its likely rivals, such as the Dodge Challenger eMuscle and an electric Porsche 718.

In addition to an all-electric Corvette, GM will release a hybrid Corvette — likely called the Corvette E-Ray. It will probably have two electric motors at the front and a gas engine situated behind the cabin. Also, the automaker will probably offer a more powerful hybrid variant of the Corvette Z06. It’s rumored to be called the Corvette Zora, named after GM engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov, the “Father of the Corvette.”

2025 Chevy Corvette EV design: What does it look like?

GM didn’t yet reveal any images or videos of the 2025 Chevy Corvette EV. Its announcement about electrified Corvette models released a brief teaser video of a camouflaged Corvette doing cold-weather testing. However, for the car in the video, you can hear the roar of an engine, so it’s likely the Corvette E-Ray. It has the same design as the current C8 Corvette model, except for the yellow brake calipers. Given that the Corvette EV won’t be released for at least another couple of years, there’s a decent chance it will have a different design.

We’ll have to wait to find out full details about the Corvette EV’s interior. However, we expect it to have the same two-seat layout as the current C8 Corvette model.

How much is the 2025 Chevy Corvette EV?

GM didn’t yet release the official price information of the 2025 Chevy Corvette EV. However, Car and Driver estimates the following starting prices for the 2025 Corvette EV:

• 2LT: $110,000
• 3LT: $120,000

We expect this model to cost considerably more than the gas-powered version. The starting price of the gas-powered 2022 Corvette Stingray is $60,900 MSRP for the Coupe model and $68,400 MSRP for the Convertible model.
