The 2025 Mazda CX-30 only has updates for Android users to enjoy
The tiny but mighty Mazda CX-30 is back for another year with minimal changes. That’s fine because the 2025 Mazda CX-30 just got a little smarter without raising its price and Android users will be thrilled.
The 2025 Mazda CX-30 gains Alexa Built-In tech
If you’re here then celebrate the fact that the 2025 Mazda CX-30 gains Alexa Built-In voice control, navigation, live traffic updates, and over-the-air updates.
I’m on the fence about this change as a dedicated iPhone user. But with Apple CarPlay, I’ll be fine. Also, I liked the Mazda’s software already.
The voice recognition works well, the navigation maps could use better graphics, but it’s smart and it works. Plus, Mazda SUVs are unique in providing severe weather updates along your route.
I’ll happily test the Alexa system and compare notes with polder models, though. However, the CX-30 probably still doesn’t have a touchscreen.
That’s not a big deal as the rotary dial controls are easy to learn and with intuitive commands. Why do you need a touchscreen if you can use your voice anyways?
Also, fans can rejoice over the fact that the 2025 CX-30 didn’t go up in price. It still starts at $26,415, including the $1,420 destination fee. The top-spec 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus trim takes the price up to $38,370 and there are eight trim levels.
The 2025 Mazda CX-30 comes with standard AWD, making it extremely competitive in its class. The standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine cranks out 191 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque.
Upgrade to the turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine for up to 250 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque with premium fuel. With regular gas, it provides 227 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque.
The 2.5 S model, or entry-level trim comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, an 8.8-inch infotainment system, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and a six-speaker audio system.
Standard safety features include forward collision mitigation, lane-keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, drowsy driver monitoring, and automatic high beams.
