The 2025 Nissan Frontier Corrects Significant Problems
For the past few years, the Nissan Frontier has been behind the curve. Despite having an awesome standard engine and modern style, it wasn’t doing as well as its rivals. However, the 2025 Nissan Frontier has a mid-cycle refresh to change the game.
The 2025 Nissan Frontier fixes crucial problems
For me, the most exciting change for the 2025 Nissan Frontier is the tech! The 2023 Frontier that I had for a week was fast, comfortable, and fun. However, I was disappointed by the seemingly outdated tech.
The 8.0-inch touchscreen didn’t have the best resolution, the 360-degree camera display was grainy, the digital gauge cluster and infotainment interface were basic, there’s no head-up display, and wireless Apple CarPlay is only available on the top Pro-4 trim level.
Now the 2025 Frontier has a 12.3-inch touchscreen for all trim levels above the S model. It should have a better resolution and a bigger 360-degree view.
Plus, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard along with a new wireless phone charging pad, so you can cut the cord.
A telescoping-adjustable steering wheel column and four-way power-adjustable front seats are standard. The SV and higher trims get two-way adjustable lumbar support.
With the Pro-4X model, you get an Off-Road Mode. In this mode, the 360-degree camera will stay on during speeds up to 12 mph.
New standard safety features include lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, high-beam assist, and intelligent cruise control. The SL trim gets traffic sign recognition.
Other changes include a new squared-off front end for a more confident look. The Pro models have a new tailgate finish. Also, each trim level has a standard sliding rear window.
New styling also includes a revamped 17-inch wheel design and a unique shade of Afterburner Orange paint.
The standard bed is just shy of five feet long and there is a six-foot bed available. Plus, the Frontier can now tow up to 7,150 lbs instead of 6,640 lbs. It can tow more than other trucks like the Toyota Tacoma and Honda Ridgeline.
Overall, the Frontier is a better bargain with all these new standard features, but pricing hasn’t been released. New models should reach dealerships by the end of summer. Stay tuned for updates!
