2025 Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid Models Are Hybrid Taycan Alternatives
The Porsche Panamera is back for 2025 with developments. The updated Panamera wears its new look and the savagely powerful Turbo E-Hybrid returns. However, the hybridized lineup also includes the new 2025 Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and 4S E-Hybrid. With the consumer shift to hybrids over electric vehicles (EVs), the new hybrid Panamera models could be a welcome alternative for Porsche fans to the fully-electric Taycan.
The 2025 Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and 4S E-Hybrid boast hybrid usability and faster charging
Porsche recently announced the 2025 Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and 4S E-Hybrid to accompany the Turbo E-Hybrid in the lineup. Unsurprisingly, the Turbo E-Hybrid maintains its place as the range-topping Panamera.
However, the 4 E-Hybrid and 4S E-Hybrid offer a more accessible hybridized Panamera. That, and, considering the dwindling popularity of EVs, they’re viable alternatives to the fully electric Taycan. Although Porsche hasn’t announced pricing on the newest models, the previous 4 E-Hybrid started at $109,000. That’s not too terribly far off from the Base Taycan’s $101,395 price point.
Still, the 4 E-Hybrid and 4S E-Hybrid won’t disappoint the brand’s fanatics. Sure, you won’t see the Turbo E-Hybrid’s stratospheric 670-horsepower output or hear its V8 soundtrack in the lower trims. However, the new 2025 Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and 4S E-Hybrid develop 463 and 536 horsepower, respectively. Power is courtesy of a 2.9L twin-turbo V6 gas engine and a 187-horsepower electric motor.
What’s more, the latest Panamera Hybrids get updated architecture, including an 11-kW onboard AC charger and a 25.9-kWh battery pack. Zuffenhausen says the charger will cut wait times to 2.5 hours. That’s great news for fans who want a hybrid alternative to a fully-electric Taycan. That, and the hybridized Panamera’s battery pack is up from 17.9 kWh in the previous iteration.
