2025 Subaru Forester: What’s new?
The 2025 Subaru Forester is a bit beefier looking thanks to a brand new SUV style. It has smoother sides, a larger grille that spans into the headlight housings, black cladding emphasizes the larger wheel arches and the taillights are connected by a single bar.
New wheel designs complete the look with 17 and 19-inch options available. It has an 8.7-inch ground clearance and the standard AWD system was retuned to deliver faster responses.
It should provide a more athletic experience as the chassis incorporates additional welding points and structural adhesive to provide a 10% increase in torsional rigidity stiffness.
Plus, there’s a new dual-pinion steering rack to further enhance its handling and control. A new air vent at the back of the wheel well moves air out to reduce highway lift. Additional insulation reduces interior noise for a peaceful ride.
The attractive interior features new colors, upscale materials, extra padding, and more supportive seats. The dash is a bit lower to enhance visibility.
While a 7.0-inch touchscreen is standard, higher trim levels have an 11.6-inch screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto are included.
It also has standard dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats are available, and the tailgate can be operated with a swipe of your foot. The Subaru EyeSight safety suite has faster responses with an available 360-degree camera.
How much power does the 2025 Subaru Forester have?
The 2025 Subaru Forester doesn’t have extra muscle yet. It has a carryover engine. The standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine cranks out 180 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque.
It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in roughly 9.3 seconds, but perhaps the body upgrades will make things more engaging. Also, each model but the entry-level trim has standard paddle shifters.
