The Honda Ridgeline Crew Cab is one of the best midsize trucks from 2018
When Edmunds listed some of its favorite midsize trucks, the 2018 Honda Ridgeline Crew Cab was an obvious choice. This truck has excellent handling thanks to its independent rear suspension. Honda equipped the Ridgeline’s bed with lockage storage and a two-way tailgate you won’t find anywhere else. For the RT trim, the maximum towing capacity is 3,500 pounds, and the payload maxes out at 1,465 pounds. The top-level trim gets 5,000 pounds towing capacity; the Ridgeline is good enough for most situations.
Some of Edmunds’ favorite safety features include Collision Mitigation Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control, although these are only optional. Noteworthy standard safety features include the Multi-Angle Rearview Camera, which is especially useful when towing or trailering. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the 2018 Honda Ridgeline a five-star safety rating.

Otherwise, the Tacoma gets a 3,500 pounds tow rating and a maximum payload of 1,505 pounds.
The Tacoma comes with Toyota Safety Sense P, adding more standard safety features. The cabin controls are easy to use, and a new seven-inch touchscreen is standard. The maximum tow capacity for the Work Truck trim is between 5,000 to 7,000 pounds.
