Since 1999, the Toyota Tundra has been the brand’s full-size truck. And over its three generations, there have been some pretty major changes. From dropping the V8 engine in favor of a twin-turbocharged V6 to offering some serious luxury features found in the Tundra Capstone, this pickup truck has come a long way. But what if you want to get a used Tundra? These are three models that might be worthy of consideration.
Is a used Tundra worth it?
Depending on which Tundra truck you are looking at, a used pick might be a good option. There are a variety of configurations out there, and Toyota does have a perceived reputation for making reliable vehicles. Just keep in mind that not every Toyota Tundra is created equally.

OK, it’s hard for me not to mention the 2007 Tundra on this list. Sure, it is an old truck, but it has also achieved a fairly amazing feat. Are you familiar with the million-mile Tundra? Well, that was a pickup owned by Victor Sheppard, and it was able to achieve one million miles on its odometer.
According to MotorTrend, the truck retained important components like its original engine and transmission. And while not everyone will rack up that many miles on their pickup truck, it is cool to see a product that can last that long.

2016 might be one of the worst years for this full-size truck. It has a high number of recalls, and that’s not always indicative of a reliable vehicle. 2010 is also a problematic year; that version of the Tundra has 16 recalls. And that is something that I would consider a high number.
