The 2022 Porsche Macan is the best compact luxury SUVs for holding its value

The 2022 Porsche Macan has a really nice but simple interior. It has a red and black leather interior, touch controls, and spacious back seats. There are fold-down armrests, cupholders, and USB ports even in the rear. The 2022 Porsche Macan is a great choice if you don’t want to lose a ton of money on your luxury SUV. Over the first five years of ownership, the Porsche Macan has a tendency to lose less than other luxury SUVs. During that time, the Porsche Macan depreciates approximately 37.1%, according to iSeeCars. That’s better than the average small luxury SUV, which depreciates at a rate of 46%.

In addition, the reliability of used Porsche Macans tends to be high. The 2019 Porsche Macan, for example, has a perfect reliability rating from Consumer Reports. This makes it a great choice for someone who doesn’t want to worry about unexpected repairs.

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC is another luxury SUV with low depreciation

The Mercedes-Benz GLC is the second Mercedes-Benz on this list, and for good reason. It’s got an incredible interior with USB ports in the back, dual-zone climate control, and heated cushions. You can upgrade to get leather seats, ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats.

In addition, the Mercedes-Benz GLC depreciates at 40.4% over the course of five years. That’s more than 5% better than the average depreciation rate for small luxury SUVs.

Similar to the Porsche Macan, the Mercedes-Benz GLC has a very high-reliability rating for its used luxury SUV. The 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC has a perfect reliability rating of 5/5. The biggest problem area in the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC is the suspension, which receives just a 1/5.

The 2022 BMW X1’s depreciation makes it one of the best small luxury SUVs

The 2022 BMW X1 is one of the best luxury compact SUVs for depreciation, as well as for being a nice SUV. Its infotainment system is easy to use, it comes with Apple Car-Play, and it has a seven-speaker sound system. It takes spot number five on the list, with a depreciation rate of 43.6%. It’s not much better than the average rate, but it is enough for it to be one of the best small luxury SUVs, which should tell you something about the rate of depreciation in general.

Unfortunately, the BMW X1’s used SUV reliability scores aren’t as good as those for the Mercedes-Benz GLC and Porsche Macan, or at least more recent X1s don’t. However, the 2016 BMW X1 does have a perfect reliability rating of 5/5.

These are some of the best compact luxury SUVs not only because they’re nice, but because they hold their value better than most SUVs. If you’re looking for a compact luxury SUV that will not only offer you reliability and a high-end finish but also not cost you a ton of money if you decide to sell down the road, these three SUVs are some of your best options. Make sure you do your research and stay on top of resale trends, as they can change over time.
