Toyota’s RAV4 Hybrid is a fuel-efficient small SUV

Even if you haven’t been in the 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, you probably know someone who has. Toyota is known for making reliable and long-lasting SUVs, with this one no exception. Edmunds says it offers a reasonable amount of cargo space (68.9 cubic feet) and 40 mpg in combined fuel economy. While some automakers charge a lot more for the Hybrid, this one is comparable to the non-hybrid RAV4.

Some noteworthy safety systems on the 2022 RAV4 Hybrid include Pre-Collision with Pedestrian Detection, Blind-Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist. These systems can help the driver avoid a collision and alert the driver if a vehicle is in its blind spot. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the 2022 RAV4 Hybrid a five-star safety rating. If you need fuel-efficient hybrid SUVs, the Toyota RAV4 checks all of the boxes.

The interior is roomy, and the ride is comfortable, like most Honda SUVs. Honda’s hybrid CR-V offers 31% more fuel economy than the regular version. As far as fuel-efficient hybrid SUVs go, Honda has equipped the CR-V with everything a buyer might need.

Noteworthy safety systems include Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keeping Assist System, and Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow. These help keep the SUV centered in the lane and can detect if a potential front impact is possible. While the NHTSA gave the CR-V Hybrid a five-star safety rating, the IIHS also made it a Top Safety Pick.

MSRP range: $32,010 – $37,800
