Power and U.S. News give the 2020 Acura MDX a reliability score of 80 out of 100, which is above average for the segment. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the Acura a five-star safety rating, making it a good choice for midsize luxury SUVs to buy used.

An unusual miss for the brand, the 2020 Lexus GX 460 just doesn’t have as much to offer. This Lexus has the off-road capability and high towing numbers, but it is also outdated all around. It only manages to get 15 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway, which is not one of its selling points. J.D. Power did give the 2020 GX a reliability score of 87 out of 100, though.
