Yet the Silverado does have its faults despite being an otherwise good truck, and if you’re pickup truck shopping, you’ll want to know what they are. The 2022 Chevy Silverado is a good truck with lots of engine options

The 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 base model comes with a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine. This makes 420 lb-ft of torque and is matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission. If you upgrade, you can get the 3.0-liter four-cylinder engine that’s capable of 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. Go one higher for the 5.3-liter V8 engine that makes 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. There’s also a 6.2-liter V8 that can do 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. 

The Silverado ZR2 is a capable off-roader

The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado is able to handle rock crawls as well as desert driving. It comes with front and rear locking differentials, 33-inch tires, and a bumper that allows for greater clearance. It also has skid plates specifically made for the 2022 Silverado, as well as a special rear bumper.

Its fuel tank that can hold up to 24 mpg and it gets 16 mpg overall. That includes 10 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. The Silverado 1500 can go 384 miles on a full tank of gas.
