Car and Driver recommend buying the range-topping Limited trim over the other three models. It comes with the turbo engine as its standard option.

The Kona has excellent handling, making it fun to drive

Edmunds and Car and Driver agree the 2022 Hyundai Kona is nimble and a joy to drive. With smooth, responsive steering and handling, the Kona feels sporty. Next, the Kona has quick acceleration to go along with its great handling. Edmunds measured a 0-to-60 mph time of 7.2 seconds while driving a turbocharged model. Despite occasional hesitation when starting from a stopped position, the transmission is notably better than previous iterations of the Kona. The same publication called the Kona “surprisingly composed and grippy” while driving around turns.
