Today we have a battle of two massive trucks with V8 engines. The Nissan Titan and the Toyota Tundra will be battling it out to determine which four-door beast is the better truck. Both options rival Ford F-150 well, but today isn’t about that truck!

The Nissan Titan VS The Toyota Tundra

Both the Toyota Tundra and the Nissan Titan come with a V8 engine with the base model. This means that you don’t have to pay to upgrade to V8 power like you do with the Ford F-150 and Ram 1500.

The 2020 Toyota Tundra starts around $33k, and the Nissan Titan starts off a little higher around $36k. The Nissan Titan has the most expensive base model out of every new 2020 full-size truck. The Ford F-150 starts and $28k, but the base model is a little crew cab without many standard features included at all.

The Toyota Tundra has More Standard Power

Under the hood of the Toyota Tundra, you will find a 5.7-liter V8 engine that provides 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, the Toyota Tundra can tow up to 10,200 and haul a payload of 1,680 lb.

The Nissan Titan also has a beefy 5.6-liter V8 engine that pumps out 400 horsepower and 392 lb-ft of torque. With the tow package and all, the Nissan Titan can tow up to 9,370 lb and haul a payload up to 1,680 lb.

However, if you actually need more power with your truck (most people don’t), you can pay to upgrade to the Nissan Titan XD. It can tow up to 12,000 lb and carry a payload of up to 2,450 lb.

The Toyota Tundra is more Convenient

Both of these trucks are thirsty. The Toyota Tundra only gets 13 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway. The Nissan Titan does a little better with the ability to get 16 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway. However, the Toyota Tundra has a much larger fuel tank. It can hold 34 gallons, so you’ll find yourself pulling over to fuel up a lot less.

The Toyota Tundra also has a smaller turning radius than the Nissan Titan, making it easier to park and handle in tight spaces. In terms of comfort, the Toyota Tundra offers heated and ventilated seats. Plus, it has a tri-zone automatic climate control feature and adaptive cruise control to adjust its speed automatically.

The Toyota Tundra has Better Tech

Both of these trucks can connect to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but where the Toyota Tundra invested in tech for more convenience, the Nissan Titan seems to have less useful features. However, the Nissan Titan does offer wireless phone charging.

The Toyota Tundra has a rear power window, heated mirrors, power-adjustable mirrors, a garage door opener. Plus, it has a trailer brake controller and a HD navigation system with HD color and optional voice instructions.
